If a kite for sale on ebay says it is 14m and a projected area of 10.4 which is the measurement you would use? as in i have a 3m radsail... does this
mean the kite is a 14 or a 10.4?
The kite is a wipika air blast LEI of that helps.. quick reply or ill lose the sale!

Almost all kites are measured actual flat area. The only kite maker I know what uses projected area to sell kites is viokite. It means your 3m kite
is probaly more like a 2.2 projected.

Its Actually a 14 square meter kite. 10 is the estimated size when flown in its arched shape.

bloody hell.... my friend has only flown a 4m firebee for 3 months! and hes got it tio use with an ATB. this could make for funny video footage.......

That's a lot of kite to be landboarding with, especially for a beginner. He'll be getting some altitude for sure. Tell him to pad up and don't pump
it up tight. Less chance of it popping a bladder if it's not pumped up tight.

low aspect too so they have good constant pull on a board. i used my friends 4m bee last weekend in 15kts and that was a beast of a puller! the power
delivery was constant but it does have a tendency to over luff and collapse at the edge of the wind window... can this be corrected by the edition of
power rings? also im making a copy of a flexi blade bar.. will this work fine? in my opinion the lift generated by my friends 4 in 15kts was pretty
sweet so i cant wait to use my new one in this much! 15kts is probably the upper wind range for my 7m bee right?

hey, im the idiot who bought the 14m kite, believe me its massive, i cant belive its pure size. who wouldnt love the fact that on the side it says,
improper use may result in death. anyone got gd tips for setup and soo on....

Just dropped your man Harry an email. One thing about its pure size is that LEI foils are not very effecient (dont know if I spelled that right)
compared to a fixed line foil. I know a 9.5m frenzy is really close to a 4.9 blade in power. Lei's are less power per sq meter than foils.

All "proper" sports equipment should say that....That's when you know your about to have some fun. As for setup, I'd download the manuals from the
Wipika web site. I'm assuming they have them for download. Kite setup is not a generic thing, especially the safety. If it's set up wrong, it may
not work when you need it.
Be carefull. I use an 11m StrikeII LEI on land/snow now and then and that's plenty.
