Very nice riding...love the flat water and waves together in one video. Nice inside transitions on the surfboard...wish I had your skills

Success!

I think that's the first time I've ever successfully posted a link on this forum without help from administration! Wow. What can I say, I do better with kites than computers.

Anyway, the video represents a few good sessions had on the Razor 10m at a few local spots (The Gun Club, Stoney Beach, and The Range in order of appearance) here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I still love my foil kites, but the Razor is a totally different riding experience. A lot of fun for sure. Probably the best attribute is the kites steady and smooth pull all the way thru the kiteloops. Makes it pretty good in the waves too.

I had fun making the video and I hope everyone enjoys it.

Have fun and ride hard!

Just got off the water riding my 10m razor with my first kiteboard (1995 Hyperlite Offshore wakeboard ,converted in 1999). I amazed that I could rocket upwind with this board! First time I have ridden it in 8 yrs! Jumps huge and very skechy landings! A great way to remember my roots in this sport!....aj

Nice riding! I have a few sessions on the OR Rise 9 and 12 and really like them. How do you like that freestyle bar? I am much more used to the trim strap coming from the Flysurfers. I currently have the long throw 09 SLE bar. I noticed the front line split is much higher up and it must have a mini 5th.

Phree. - no ice, but it's damn cold. 2/3 deg. cel. water and the air's not much warmer. The cold does tend to make one ride more conservatively, sticking to things you know and feel less likely to get dunked for attempting. This is probably the worst part of cold water kiting. The consequences for failed attempts at new tricks goes way up. If the crash doesn't get you, the cold always will. But what are you going to do? Stop?

AD72- the rise and razor has a totally different feel, in my opinion. I also came from trim straps (Best/ Flysurfer) and still strongly favour this type of bar. It's simple, effective, and hard to improve upon- just like me:lol:. And it's the only way you can accurately adjust the trim when overpowered. The freestyle bar has an issue with the trim strap which has been solved. Basically, when totally trimmed out the straps could dangle in the wind and twist making it impossible to adjust the trim. Pretty alarming if you're overpowered and the twist puts you ... in a twist. But like I said, it's fixed with a new trim strap. Anyway, the freestyle bar does have less throw than the other SLE (rope and cleat) bar which produces a bit less depower. Something to consider, but coming from FS's earlier kites I'm used to it. And you're very observant, it does have a mini 5th running thru the trim straps. Very simple and engenius, the trim straps ride on the mini 5th. So simple. Other manufacturers may be doing it , but it's the first time I've seen it.

Cheers
