Thought i would share a quick snippet that a fellow on the beach shot with his iphone @ jibe. I had about 10 of these "bounces" hence the beautiful
hematoma tattoo. It looks a lot worse then it is.

Scott, you were skyin'!!! Awesome spot, I hope to get there next year!B-Roc - 25-5-2011 at 10:10 AM
Just curious, why do you think you are bouncing? Take off looks good, redirect looks good, landing looks good right up to the point you bounce and
loose it.
When I fall its usually because I lay my board down at a bad angle and the toeside wheels dig in and I fall forward.
Wondering what is going on that you are bouncing if that is commonly occuring. Coming in too hot or ??flyjump - 25-5-2011 at 10:24 AM
hahahahahah rad! that's awesome scott. i like to see the crashes along with the landings. you were coming in hot when you got dragged. nice vid

B-roc- The biggest reason i think was that i was not redirecting hard enough, i was fine on the smaller jumps ie 5-6 ft but when i got any higher i
was landing before the kite had come back around. It seemed to me that the kite was still "behind" me on the higher jumps. Adam (flyjump) had
watched a couple and commented that i was redirecting to late on those jumps. Ultimately i think i was just enjoying the float tooo much and did not
really want to come down but gravity won.:Ange09: On this particular video or bounce, i was trying more for big then landing because of the number of
people and others around- it was right at the launch and land zone and Todd was filming- Yes shameless ego attempting to get filmed :frog:.

needed the kite more forward, looks like you landed square on all fours but were leaning back a bit. When I land on all fours with low speed I need
to be way over the boar dand absorb the impact with my legs. Ideally the kite is powered forward and you're in the standard riding/leaning position.
check out carltb's videos, i think he jumps once or twice in there shehatesmyhobbies - 25-5-2011 at 06:01 PM
Almost looks like it could turn into a new dance move! :bouncy:
Dude your enthusiasm alone keeps me smiling! Scott you are great to have on the beach any day of the week! See you soon I hope! Maybe at the
cheeseball rally!buggydanny - 25-5-2011 at 06:11 PM
Scott
You were coming in quite fast for some of your jumps. I clocked you approaching 30 on one jump. I think that if you come in that hot for a jump, the
speed helps you boost higher, but you have a lot of momentum and it is harder to stick a landing.

i just watch it 8 times ,i'm with arkay ,it looks you were leaning a litte back when you landed, but that was one wicked good crash, pad up frienddoublespeed360 - 25-5-2011 at 07:46 PM
i'm going to watch it again.snowspider - 26-5-2011 at 11:18 AM
Thats hurts just watching it , 7 times for me.flyjump - 26-5-2011 at 11:33 AM
gotta absorb much more by bending the knees, that plus landing with your wheels on the right angle for a smooth roll away. Hard impacts need smooth
angles and lots of absorption to land smoothly....definatly progessing very fastflyguy0101 - 26-5-2011 at 11:43 AM
It looks far worse then it was. I was able to slow it down in a video editor to watch in slow motion and the bounce off the board was more a reaction
of the board actually compressing all the way down to where the deck was hitting the beach. (a little heavy for the board i think) I did not get the
bruise from this jump but a culmination of probably 10 or 15 jumps similiar to this one and always landing on that elbow. The road rash hurts far
worse then the bruise, i really think i just busted a blood vessel on one of the impacts because it took a couple of days for the bruise to get that
big. I have been beat up and actually hurt far worse from an OBE then i ever have coming off the board. I think the difference is that on the Board
i just fall more often because i try to go bigger or try a new trick, and the bails just look scary....sometimes the occuring butt/ belly/ or back
slide is actually pretty fun. (okay maybe a few screws lose:bouncy: )

At least your not scared! we know that for a fact.....now if we could just get more people in north america to ride big kitesflyguy0101 - 26-5-2011 at 11:52 AM

flyguy how do you like your lei for riding -jumping.flyguy0101 - 27-5-2011 at 06:06 AM
@360- Unfortunetly i dont know how the LEI will work because i have not had it in the air yet- bought it last year from my brother for water this
spring and have yet to take it out of the bag. But i can vouch for the 16m venom II. In all my jumps at jibe i never had a "hard" landing obviously
came in a couple times without enough redirect and landed flat but was never a lot of knee pressure or thuds like i have had when flying the 12m.As
you might remember i am in the big boys club at ~225 lbs, but down from 260 in January :D
