A Piece Of Buggy History - SOLD !

apextech - 26-5-2011 at 01:02 PM

Heres something you dont see everyday. A Land Lizard kite buggy, the Granddaddy of our current flavors made in 1992/3 by Highly Strung Kites in Melbourne, Australia.

This one is convertible from buggy to tandem/trailer, comes with the entire tow package (both sides), great for hauling gear ( or son/daughter) across the lake bed or down the beach.

I replaced almost all of the fasteners on this buggy when I got it as well the steering head ball joints were replaced with better steel alloy ones. and the "trailer" components have all been radius ed to eliminate any sharp edges made of aluminum angle w/ PVC shelf and fastened w/ stainless steel hardware.

In addition it comes with 3 seats, the original LL web, stadium seat for trailer, like another shelf to put stuff which also has a back rest and a Peter Lynn Comp seat. As well 2 extra 4.80x4 treaded Kenda Tires w/ tubes are included and 2 sets of original steering head ball joints.

I had an aspiration to buggy to inaccessible beaches, loaded with kiteboard gear but plans have changed, so here I've decided to sell this truly unique package.

Everything is offered together:

Buggy
3 seats
Trailer Components
tow package
2 almost new tires w/ tubes

for a mere $300, you just have to figure out how to get it to you, or you can come pick it up in Monterey, Ca. Thanks for looking

Can you just swing by Saskatchewan on the weekend and drop it off?

rocfighter - 26-5-2011 at 04:42 PM

dawicks did you see the movie Grown-Ups?
Sorry bad Saskatchewan joke.

Looks like a good deal for a cool looking buggy. No funds here though. Good luck with the sale.

I could be interested if you would consider shipping to NW Indiana zip (46356). on my $$. Probably not interested in the trailer tow package. unless it doesn't add that much weight or size to the shipping package. Think about it, I'm just getting into this kite stuff and buggies intrest me more than boards (56years young) Don't have as far to fall!

Well it looks like the Lizard will be lounging around Indiana, so at this point it'll be considered as SOLD.
