It's been my aspiration to build my own buggy from scratch since I first got started. Not quite there yet, still acquiring the necessary tools and
techniques, but getting close. I'm hopeful I'll get started this summer. I have managed to make my own heavy duty extended axle for my PL comp. My 6'
5", 280 lb. are a bit too much for the standard axle, I have to flip it over about every other time I ride it to bend it back the other way!
I'd love to see more pictures. I really like the high back rest pipe, and the joint with the side-rails/down tube looks interesting. I hope to make
the neck joint on mine quick-release so that I can take the front wheel off and through it in my truck without tools! And what where the shocks
originally from? It's one of the missing pieces I still have.
This is definitely a benchmark for success! Nicely done.
