Curious if anyone has any experience with this company or if there is an employee of this company here.

ripsessionkites - 28-5-2011 at 04:28 PM

i assume your talking about the one in Las Vegas?

Corey LLama is the coolest dude and supports NABX

opie - 28-5-2011 at 04:33 PM

Yes, I suppose thats them.

Is Corey a member here? Im trying to get ahold of someone that works there and have had no response using the contact link from their website. Its been 4 days since I sent a message to them.

Found him... coreykite

cheezycheese - 28-5-2011 at 04:44 PM

He might be away flying... isn't there an event out west?

bobalooie57 - 28-5-2011 at 04:52 PM

Buggy Boogie Spring Thang next weekend at El Mirage? I so want to get out west for one of those events. So much space!!! I got some this afternoon at the horse track, mostly powerslides along the far turn. It was fun, but no dry lake...

macboy - 28-5-2011 at 06:25 PM

Yeah, there is certainly just a communication issue - Corey is a solid guy and would be back to you in a split second unless message weren't getting through / to him. Nothing but confidence in him.

opie - 28-5-2011 at 07:51 PM

Allright, thanks everyone. I shot an email off Corey.

Drewculous - 29-5-2011 at 07:01 AM

He must have something going... We shot a few emails back and forth, and I haven't heard from him in a week or so.... I ordered a goproHD from him, but they had been backordered last time I talked to him...

Id be bummed about not getting my camera yet, but all my kites are still in the mail, so I'm not missing much... I could video ALL THIS DAMN RAIN!!!

opie - 3-6-2011 at 02:09 AM

Still have not heard back from either attempt to contact.

My issue is a small one at best, not life altering. But the issue itself, and the lack of a reply to that issue, appear to me (a first time customer of this company) the attention to details is not there.

I realize Corey may have a decent customer base and some good friends here. My receipt was hand signed by Corey which is nice. However I am approaching this from a first time customer standpoint, so I hope this doesnt turn into a pile on the issuer of the complaint.

If you placed an order with a company for the first time, there was a mistake and you simply want the difference in charges returned to you and your attempts to get ahold of someone failed, what would you do?

Drewculous - 3-6-2011 at 05:53 AM

i really think hes had something going on... my camera is on backorder, i shot him an email yesterday, within 6 hours i had a reply... pretty much confirming my theory of backorders lol...

i actually just filled out the "contact me" form on the web page, and he got right back to me. Try that, or heck, his phone number is on every page at the top, just give him a call

I am also a first time customer, and i only dropped $300, so im pretty sure my email response isnt preferential treatment or anything. If hes like most kite vendors, this is prolly one of at least two jobs, maybe more.... and spring/summer is a busy time for kites.... give him a call, leave your number, and just talk to the guy. I'm sure you'll get everything worked out

ripsessionkites - 3-6-2011 at 08:11 AM

If you are looking toget something you can also purchase from Kent at A Wind Of Change. He is also located in Las Vegas.

macboy - 3-6-2011 at 09:39 AM

I know how you feel Opie and anything we can say about Corey doesn't REALLY help but truly - this is an oddity for sure. I'm surprised he hasn't seen this thread - that alone makes me think he's got things going on.

KYTE SLINGER - 3-6-2011 at 10:02 AM

Hummmm... haven't seen him on face book much either...

but you might drop in on him over there

gbrown - 3-6-2011 at 01:50 PM

This weekend is the spring buggy thang at El Mirage so I am sure he is there by now and He won't be in his shop until Monday

opie - 3-6-2011 at 03:03 PM

mac, KYTE and gb.... Drew said he shot him a message and had a reply in 6 hours. So I dont think its the "hes busy so give it time" scenario.

Im not going to drag this on, I just wanted to get some other contact info. I found it and had no success so Im going to chalk it up to me or my order just being inconsequential to the overall business he gets. No biggie, Im good with that.

Supposed to be a nice weekend, I sure hope the wind cooperates here so I can get some flying time!!

macboy - 3-6-2011 at 04:23 PM

 Cheers Opie. Fly your pants off. We're soggy right now and no wind expected during the "dry cycle".

Bladerunner - 3-6-2011 at 07:43 PM

Just curious what your complaint is ?

Typically a warranty issue is no problem for a kite dealer.

Is it possible he is avoiding responding to your complaint for some reason?

Corey isn't very confrontational even if he isn't without opinion.

opie - 3-6-2011 at 08:32 PM

Blade, trivial I know. But as a small business owner, Ive found its these little issues that turn would be loyal customers into non returners.

I ordered a set of lines and handles for my Rev 1.5. Ordered on a Monday evening and checked the USPS Priority shipping option because I wanted them for Memorial weekend. I know it takes USPS 2 days to get something from the left coast to me in MI, so I had plenty of time even if there was a slight delay in getting them shipped. Package shipped out Tuesday, UPS. I also know it takes UPS 1 week to get things from the left coast to me in MI. Even on the hand signed invoice in the box it said "USPS Priority." I sent a message via the contact link on their website Wednesday morning more or less explaining why I had picked USPS priority and I was a little disappointed. But nothing confrontational in the least.

Package showed up Tuesday after memorial day and at that point I still had no reply. So I started this thread on Thursday to see about getting some contact information, and I did. I sent an Email to Corey's email address that I got from his profile here. To date, no reply.

Now, I know, BELIEVE ME, I know how trivial this sounds. But I have never ignored a customers inquiry into any mistake made on my part, and thats what bugs me the most. I realize accidents happen, we are all human. Its the lack of response that is frustrating.

And again, Im over it. Bring on the wind!

Hi, newbie to this forum!

Just out on interest, I placed a order last week 27/05 for a FF16 and other bits, also sent a question asking for when item is dispatched.

Heard nothing so far..

So not sure what's going on..

macboy - 4-6-2011 at 11:59 AM

Does nobody here have Corey's direct #? I'm sure he'd like to know about these concerns and I know he'd fill everyone in and take care of things.

Seriously, I'd do business with him in a blink. Without ever hesitating (other than the hesitation while I decide how hard it'll be to to explain to the wife  )

nocando - 4-6-2011 at 03:13 PM

really to be totally honest, I think it is not wise to discuss these issues here.

As this is between you and another party, and the forum does not need to get involved.
