I am 195lbs and I want to use 145x43 board to learn kiteboarding

Can anyone tell me in what wind range I can learn using Synergy 12m
or Zulu 11m ( hybrid delta/C ).........12-27 knots according to manual .....

also I have kite surfboard 5.7' ....... when to use that one ???

Twin tip may prove easier to learn on. LEI too - will probably provide a bit sooner parS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-n'ride grunt than the arc will ...

Here's the arc calculator that is pretty accurate - http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/mx5alan/arcs/wind_range.htm

At 90kg on an 11m kite, I'd hold out for 15 to 20 knots to have fun.

It's MHO that you need more wind as a beginner to get around your lack of finesse ... but that's a bit scary and you get punished for your mistakes so be VERY familiar with your QR ...!

for you size/skill the 11m my be a little weak, the syn roughly about the same. def have to go in more breeze. KK is right more breeze is better but the penalty is higher.
know how to drag ...so you can get your board!

going in higher winds as a beginner is a real gut check. know your kites, know your safety, and stay away from people. you need alot space and a solid float plan.

"know your ...." every 1 hour of lesson needs about 10 hours of application with good confidence. conditions selection is the first test...EVERYTIME

Space downwind is the important bit :)
