I have a PL bigfoot that has modified footpegs. I've come to a conclusion that I don't like the modification and would like to go back to the stock
footpeg.
1. I could remove the modification (cut and grind) and end up with an ugly looking footpeg.
2. Could buy some tubing and make my own.
3. Could buy some replacement footpegs.
I'm thinking it may be cheaper or at least nearly so to buy some replacement footpegs since I'd likely have to buy a pretty long piece and waste alot.
So, does anybody know where I can buy some? Haven't found any on the web.
Thanks for any help.indigo_wolf - 2-6-2011 at 06:13 PM
Any PL dealer should be able to order it for you if they don't have it in stock (which might be likely). It's a small enough or product with a low
enough turnover that it won't be listed on most sites.
Attached is the section that is of interest to you.
Unless my calculations are wrong (removing the VAT and doing the Euro to USD calculations), the retail is something like 68 dollars or so.
If you still want to do it on your own, you might be able to find a metal dealer in your area that would be willing to sell you cut or scrap pieces so
you don't have to buy full length.
Hope that helps

Sam

Thanks for the info Sam. I was hoping for $30-40 max, so it looks like I need to do some looking or just chop the ones I have.
We have a local scrap dealer...tough to find what you need, but if you do the $ is per lb, thus quite cheap. I guess it would pay to spend some time
rummaging for an appropriate piece. If not I expect a new tube would be less expensive than pre-made pegs.ripsessionkites - 3-6-2011 at 01:17 AM
