Hey Ali
Isn't yours an XR+ ?
The ST buggy has thinner tubing all round. At 16 stone hard riding (bouncing) will start to bend the rear axle and it's the older comp buggy seat.

It's a good price but for your weight you might find a used XR+ at the same price is a better ride for you. Unfortunately the one Mike has for sale is in Vegas - it would work out to the same price with the exchange rate.

I have no idea how many stones The Kidd and I are. But I am 200lbs. and he is heavier. We have a PL std. He uses it mostly but I use it when the wind it to light to move the Rat. We are both over 6" as well.

I remember a few years ago someone asking what a stone was and the always clever Andrew Beattie reply: " a pound is to a stone as a day is to a fortnight"

(some people are probably now wondering what's a fortnight?)

Convert Kg <> Lbs <> Stones

Good if your vet is British or your pet attends off-shore weight-loss programs.

200lb = 14.3 stone , 16 stone = 224lb

Ok so I'm in there some where and the buggy works just fine.

Just for conversion purposes, anyone that has google or knows how to get there (he he he), Google has a nifty conversion tool built right into the address / search bar.

Just type in:
16 stone to pounds
and it will give you the conversion automatically.

Once you get this neat tool figured out, try this:
15 knots to MPH
or
1 pound to dollar
Or
1 euro to dollar
or
12 ounces to kg
.....the conversions are pretty much endless.

Anyways, for the buggy, I have always recommended moving up to the XR+ if at all possible. The ST will work for you but the XR+ is just so much better built and stronger that it should always be desired.

Hope that helps.

well if money was no object ie if I could afford it  a Libre v-max would be very nice, but on a tight budget :( so thats why the intrest in the std P/L

awindofchange - 13-6-2011 at 05:19 PM

I understand, but the XR+ is only about 80-100 bucks more than the ST. Well worth the extra. As said though, if you can't afford the extra for the XR+ then the Standard will work just fine.
