I Finally caught up with some one from range control today & got the contact info to start the permit process. The local RC Pilots use the same
area so there is a president for civilian use of the fields.
Grass may get tall but should be ok with skinny tires.

:bigok: Awesome :bigok: and within driving distance. Thank you!Bambooben - 13-6-2011 at 06:16 PM
How good are airports and landing fields for use? I was reading something about it the other day and pretty much it said should only be used by pros
due to the probability of injury. Reason I ask is I might be able to get access to 2 major landing fields my base has. There are plenty of days they
aren't training.
This one for instance is right on the inter-coastal waterway and should get really good wind.

Good news - she called me back
I may be in over my head with the formal /gov,legalyes writing required for the process.
I must submit an official request letter to the powers that be at Fort Lee.
My contact at the base sent me a copy of the letter the RC club uses.
It contains all the catch words popular now a days " insurance, liability, ext ".shehatesmyhobbies - 14-6-2011 at 03:23 PM
