Sounds like all you need is some skates. If there's wind you can kite skate, if there isn't, just skate. I was filming Spartan on Sunday - check the
skating thread - and I gotta say, he's putting ideas in my head
and that's always a dangerous thing.
He uses them on no wind days for skating down at the beach along the cycle path. I've never tried them myself, a little rollerblading and some ice
skating is as close as I've come. I've seen some people using ski poles with them too for trail skating.

Was same for me at NABX locals thought I was off my chops for drinking Bud,
but it was closest to an Aussie beer.
I thought all the others a bit #@%$#!y in taste, and flat also no fizz.
