Carl rips it up

Scudley - 22-6-2011 at 09:51 PM

Carl is the Vancouver area's oldest kiter, not that he has been kiting the longest, but because he is 77 years old. For three years he has been doggedly trying to kite buggy. Today he finally got it all together: five consecutive turns without dropping his kite. At points he was really ripping. This may not sound like much to most of you, but it brought Brian, Dirt Slide, Dusty, Edward and I to our feet, cheering. Area kiters have tried to teach Carl, watched him take tumbles that would driven lesser men from the sport, and still kept coming back for more.
Congratulations Carl, I sure hope that when I reach your age I have your toughness and determination.

Carl is one great guy and this is amazing but on first hearing it I am apprehensive ?

The Old Boy has had some close calls getting to this point. I hope he doesn't get hurt !

I am SOoooo envious that you folks got those awsome winds yesterday.
