I found treasure at a second hand shop called The Dead Dog Cafe Comedy Hour. It's from CBC radio 1997.
My question is this a made up diner, or is this like Alices Resturant?
So far I'm enjoying the craziness!!:wee:

Ok so I googled it. It's all made up even the town of Blossom. But it's still funny. And I want a Tee Shirt.

Intrigued. I'm gonna dig into it and see if maybe it's based on something somewhere. I'll let you know.

Dead Dog Cafe was awesome; some of the humour could leave non-First Nations Canadians, esp. supporters of the Conservative/Reform Party, feeling
pretty uncomfortable.

THe radio show is based on a book by Tom King, who also is on the show. There is a lot of political jabs and jokes about CA and US policies. But in
the end it is good family listening. And way better than any tv show.

If you enjoy the radio show, he's even better as a novelist..."Green Grass, Running Water" is my favourite...side-splittingly funny but very wise and
true at the same time.
"Medicine River" is good to.
Town names like 'Blossom' are made up but they are perfectly real....he hits pretty close to home.

Well as you probably know Dead Dog is from Green Grass Running Water. I think I'll look for it soon. I still have two books I'm working on (one at a
time) But I'm a poor reader now and it takes me a long time to finnish a book. I love books on tape.
