Hey guy I'm new here I've been flying a flexifoil super 10 for the last three years and now I want to move up. I'm 6'7" tall and nearly 18 stone, and
my super 10 occaisionally makes me step forward under the power it can provide but I want lift and power to hopefully the point where I'm in a buggyon
a beach avin it large. Can I get some suggestions as to suitable size kites to try to get used to the increase in power, as I'm told the ram-air type
kite generate much more power and lift?:wee:where are there good training courses available near Birmingham and good flying sites in the midlands?
Cheers Folks :singing:

I would suggest a 4m Ozone Flow/ Flexifoil Rage / HQ Beamer / Peter Lynn Hornet/Twister/Core (probably all 4m unless it's pretty windy, then you
could step down to a 3m) I've got a FF 6ft Stacker and don't think it would pull the skin off a rice pudding whereas you'll struggle to hold your
ground in 13mph plus with a 4m. If you're only going to static fly, then a 3m will do the trick - and ok for the buggy in 15mph or so.
At the start of this vid, I'm flying a 2m Beamer and it's pulling my 180lbs through the sand pretty easy - you'll also notice it will probably turn a
lot faster than the super 10 (assuming that's slower than my stacker 6). Skip through to the end of the vid and I'm static flying the 3m Flow -
plenty of pull there in 20mph.
Having the four lines makes it a lot easier to launch and land than the two line foils and not any more difficult to fly
