whats on your wish list?

tridude - 29-6-2011 at 08:56 PM

Two things I am saving for are:

1) buggy from PTW
2) twin tip from DECAY kiteboards

only problem will be shipping costs................Pops lives in the Midlands/UK (apologize if I got your area wrong Carlos) and Dave is based in New Zealand. Checkout Dave on FB, DECAY kiteboarding. Amazing cratsmanship just like PTW.......

it didnt sound overly expensive from PTW to NABX.
if it come again to the event you can always just purchase his buggy afterwards and someone can take it home for you.

sick boards. you also somewhat have the same options since the dudes from PL NZ head to NABX and bring it over too.

Have you tried a Airline Cargo, its cheaper but its slower but faster than boat. They only have service one or twice per month but its worth a shot.

I can help you figure something out if you need some assistance.

csa_deadon - 30-6-2011 at 05:29 PM

Wind powered coffee pot! hehe

tridude - 30-6-2011 at 06:06 PM

lol once I get my taste buds back the coffee maker sounds good! thanks for the help Rip, I will let you know. Dave makes awesome boards, hand picked palonia wood and his tie dye ABS rails are schweet................Ive spoken to AJ about his and he loves it!

awindofchange - 30-6-2011 at 06:09 PM

If you are wanting a Dominator, that buggy would be very pricy to ship as the frame is pretty much all one complete unit and it doesn't break down. As for other buggies such as the Cougar series, those are not that bad.

tridude - 30-6-2011 at 06:11 PM

thanks Kent..................I will keep that in mind

Kamikuza - 30-6-2011 at 06:15 PM

Is this a real or totally unrealistic wish list? :D

tridude - 30-6-2011 at 06:29 PM

the real deal....................

Kamikuza - 30-6-2011 at 06:37 PM

Oh! In that case ...

OR Mako of some description, not sure what size I want.
FS Speed3 21
... and I think I want to change out my Crossbows for ... something  I'm liking the Slingshot kites more'n'more ... although I think I want to try some delta's ... too many options

tridude - 30-6-2011 at 06:40 PM

nice list..................Slingys are great kites, RPM or Fuels? Deltas are nice as well, the 15m Wainman Big Mama has your name on it...........

Kamikuza - 30-6-2011 at 06:44 PM

Dunno; a local here got a 10m Rev and the club-house owner/shop keeper guy got a 14m RPM to demo ... I'm impressed that in the light wind of the past 2 days, the 14 and my SA2 are the only kites going upwind. The 10m seems to have a massive range on it too ...

The new SS bar looks great - unlike the Wainman bar  yes that's important :D

Oh just looked at the SS page - there is no Rev ...? Must be RPM then ...

Bladerunner - 30-6-2011 at 06:59 PM

#1 on my wish list : Connecting 2 Freakin' days in a row with good winds.

2 days in the same MONTH would be nice about now!

RedSky - 30-6-2011 at 07:57 PM

PTW Dominator 4, the money to buy it and a slightly narrower ass

tridude - 30-6-2011 at 09:23 PM

yes the RPM replaced the Revs and I use a 45cm SS bar on my 9m Wainman.........SS bars are sweet!

I forgot to add 2 things to the list:

1) a HOOJ place to ride
2) Wind

tridude - 2-7-2011 at 08:10 AM

for those looking for a custom twin or directional checkout Decay kiteboarding..........................Dave is located in New Zealand (not sure which of the two islands). His passion and love for the activity is evident in his products. He is the PTW of kiteboards................he can also find him on facebook..............not sure if Kami knows or knows of him but wouldnt be surprised if he does.................

awesome craftsmanship that deserves a look if your looking to make a board purchase..............

PHREERIDER - 2-7-2011 at 09:10 AM

besides all conflict resolution, worldly true sharing and ALL to realize true happiness.

the magnetic power of the planet to power us eternally, but being entertained by local fusion reactions with the promise of net energy.

one board , one kite that will last a life time....and get me out in gnat fart air...eternal life with wind , no conflicts and the lamentations of the women.

arkay - 2-7-2011 at 10:32 AM

Kami, I live in the land of makes (OR not shark)) will keep my eye out. Love my 150/40. The 2010 version is really nice too with the mutant options. Rpm is the new rev. Both are great kites. Pretty much everyone in the gorge flys them, and not just because here headquarters is there.

My wishlist...
16 & 11 vapors
charger 10 or 12, not sure
Sa 3 19

There should be more but thats all I got for now, aside from more time to kite :D

Looking_Up - 2-7-2011 at 05:44 PM

Long term goals
Lose 60#
A place on a windy ocean some where ( live aboard sailboat would work great here )
2011 frenzy quiver or newer
Ozone tube kite quiver
Instructor certification

Immediate goals
V2 13m
Land board for my size
Good buggy that can be used as blokart also

shehatesmyhobbies - 2-7-2011 at 07:22 PM

If I were actually looking to add to what I have as far as kites,

PL PII quiver when they come out!
A new home made bad a*# buggy that will out last me
More wind than I have had in the last two months!
Having all my kite buds live a little closer to me so that we could all hang more often!

I'm in Cross-In-Hand, East Sussex and buggy at Cambersands or Greatstone on the south coast. Are you a fighter pilot or something ?

SPAM - Reported.

rocfighter - 4-7-2011 at 04:41 AM

My new to me kite from Canada post. They have had it since June 13th :( But the good news is it has crossed the boarder and is on it's way south. I can drive it in less than 10 hours so it should only take the USPS about a week to get it here. :puzzled: :moon:

Yup, Dave Kay is a great guy and awesome board builder. And, as some may remember, he also built the Peter Lynn kite-cats back in the day.

My wish list is simple: To luck out and find a nearly new Bularoo 16m for sale for dirt cheap and get a new (custom) surfboard. My poor Bularoo 16 has had so much use, I'm afraid it may only last another season. But I like it so much I want to find another one just like it.
