I put together some video of my recently completed 6.0m NPW.
Nothing too exciting or extreme... a little skudding around and some kite closeups. Oh, and some really small jumps... really small. Like everyone
says, the Nasa's are not lifty.
Enjoy!

Looks like you did a fine job with the bridling and tuning, nice work !Bladerunner - 4-7-2011 at 04:10 PM
SuperDave strikes the prarrie!
Nice job! I would have to see a video of myself but I think I may hold my handles a bit farther down ? Of course I am usually hooked in when flying
mine.
You know you can put a strop line on those handles and fly longer hooked in?airin - 4-7-2011 at 04:25 PM
What a sweet NPW! Good job Dave!
Fun little video...did you film it all yourself - an extra challenge if you did. shaggs2riches - 4-7-2011 at 09:02 PM
Awesome job right there. It must feel real rewarding to have it up in the air and know that you made it.dawicks - 5-7-2011 at 08:51 AM
Thanks for the comments.
@shaggs: yes, it is a blast to fly something you made. It's funny when I tell people I made it who see it flying and who don't really know about
power kites... they get this spaced out look on their face.
@airin: yes, filmed it myself... handy dandy tripod.
@BR: i did try it with a strop line, but didn't feel too safe without some kind of depower... its comforting to still be able to let go.
I'd like to make one more before moving on to another project. I think a 9m would be great.greasehopper - 5-7-2011 at 10:55 PM
Not to put you off the idea (because I followed somewhat the same path and really learned a lot from it)...
However, if you do go with a 9m, I'ld suggest using the very lightest, most non-permeable fabric you can find, cascade bridling and splice rather than
knot your primary/secondary bridles very cleanly. Also, plan on breaking it out only when the breezes are just above a gnat's fart. My 8m high aspect
kicks my arse in anything close to 2Bft. Tons-o-grunt -n- Ton-o-fun !!!
