hey I have a skydog 4 meter. Today I was flying it and crashed it into a bush. I don't see any damage didn't crash it fast, but now when I tried to
fly it, it would just do a spiral. I am pretty new to this. Not sure why this happen. The wind was 15-20 mph. Some times it would fly good for a few
sec then it would just go into a death spiral. This was my 3rd time to fly it. First 2 times, it was fine but wind was like 10 mph. I was thinking it
was something with break lines. I had the break lines on the third knot thing and it would just spiral the sec I launch it. Than i moved it to the
first one and flew a little better but still would go into a spiral.
Any idea what is wrong?

Look closely at your bridle. It's sometimes hard to notice a knoted line.
Try flying it as a 2 line .
Check that your lines are all still even.

Sounds to me like either you got line stretch, or you may have gotten the bridle crossed up somewhere. It could be something with the kite itself, but
usually if your lines are still even, the bridle is crossed up somewhere. stretch out the bridle, make sure all lines seem to be laying flat and not
crossed or twisted inside itself. When you crashed into the kite, it may have turned inside out within the bridle and now something is off.
If you don't see anything, go over the kite very carefully and make sure that there are no blown cells, or tears in the material.

hey ok so I found a small knot on one of the breaklines, I took it out. Would a small knot really cause this much problems? I was looking at the
bridal lines. when I pulled one section of the bridal, I notice like the middle lines where a little slacked. Not sure if its suppose to be like this
or not. no wind today, so can't really test it out. Maybe the the bridal lines were crossed before cause I took off the lines to get the kite out.Bladerunner - 10-7-2011 at 05:58 PM
Crossed lines makes a ton of sense. I have been there . The more you try to correct the more you loop.
More sense than a simple knot without a loop to shorten the line.
That said, a knot greatly reduces the strength of your line so getting it out was important.bigkid - 11-7-2011 at 11:36 AM
