Ive never flown one but i am interested in them
anyone have any info

Love mine. One of the best older arc. Excellent float all arc really start shining in 12+ mph winds and can really exceed the max ranges once you are familiar with it. It is one of the few kites that I think begin to fly better and easier in higher winds.

I have one 16m
But not enough flights on it to give a good report
But people loveum it may be one of the most saught after kites on here
Except Mabee the phantom

what about the 19m?

what about the 19m?

Ask mougl... I think he's got a 19... Itll behave like the smaller ones... But less pop, more float, and slower turning speed

Really good depow and broad windrange. Will handle gusty wind like better than anything.

19m turns pretty slow, long bar is a good idea. Turn rate gets really good at 13m and lower.

16m V2 is the sweet spot IMO. It will handle pretty high winds but get you going in pretty low winds.:wee:

My quick thoughts... I have the v13, 16, 19... The 19m is a boat :D I only have a 50cm bar so it's turns REALLY slow. It need a 60cm bar, if not bigger. I also find that the kites are not great low wind kites; they fly; they're fun; but do much better with more wind. My 19 will be airborne (DRY) in 8 and start to pull the buggy in 10. I've never used it on water just because it's so slow. I just had the 16 out the other day on water, it was 14-20. I was underpowered @200 on a 150 mako but was able to go. Lots of down wind looping in the lulls :D I don't know how high the 16 goes but I imagine 25ish is probably my top end as I think the kite pulls much harder on land then when in water. the 13 is great for the buggy in 15 and goes up to 25 on land and 30 on water for me. Although my v13 in higher wind has a lot of bar pressure even on the lower setting.

What's nice about the venom's and arc's in general is that they munch gusts like no other. But I'd have to disagree no the depower. I'd phrase it like this. I don't think they have that much depower but they have a lot of boost and their range is far greater than other kites. With the bar out the kite still has quite a bit of pull, with the bar in it's a monster. I think the modern LEI has much more depower but the throw is much touchier. Depends on what you like. The bottom end isn't that great but the top end is fabulous; the power curve just flattens off. Auto zenith is pretty nice; much nicer than how older LEI's acted, but a toss up with SLE's that just sit at the side of the window. I actually got dragged by my 16 this weekend when I hit a sand bar (oops!) the kite auto zenith and dragged me that extra 10 ft where my LEI would have just sat there. But it's nice to have that upward pressure in the deep end!

I used to fly my v19 a lot in the buggy but I have been on the p15 more... I'd certainly consider selling the 19 if anyone wants it. I can't imagine fly it much with the p15 on land and the v16 on water; oh and the pulse10, and the quiver of LEIs, and ... it's just sitting on the wall int he kite museum/garage at the moment :o

V II a fraction quicker than V I and a little more sensitive.

I have a fresh13M VII i have been reluctant to use it very much because its SO fresh and the bulk of my rides are pulled by VI/c-hybrid but a top skin seam pulled yesterday and will sub in the VII for the rest of the summer and fall.

i like a large bar(60cm) and favor depower set up with a shorter main. the 16m can have a huge depower stroke but 13m can be quite a bit shorter. in light air 13m just rocks and as the wind picks up it takes on a c-kite flow and the trim will give back some of the depower. just for reference the main(throw) is basically half the length of the bar, with the old PL trim strap it is ideal.

pig tails for the kite go by the specs . that way ALL adjustment come from the bar attachments ( main length, bar end adjustments and trim) keep it simple and within arms reach.

inside the kite 1/3 in on the ends and loose on the center for better light air and up wind flying. if too tight it will be stall prone esp. the center adjust. not huge but noticeable and it can also help stabilize any small imbalances using the end adjusters.

the only issue i have between the VI and VII is the intakes... the FIVE on the VI makes recovery almost instant and 3 on the VII is less than, its a small difference and relaunch recovery NEEDS are rare occasion anyway. but compression on loops puts a squeeze on them and the VII, I THINK, would do better with more intakes, tip compression and recovery on the VI never an issue even late window redirects and overfly helio back loops.

I would suggest the 16 but I did get my first flight in with the big bar on the 19 and wow I was surprised how fast she turned I think the kite straps were tight all around makes gobs of power like u are attached to a train and there's nothing u can do :wee:
Kindof scary the wind was gusting over 20 kts I was depowered pretty good where there was almost no pull directly overhead but when u get that thing out on the apparent wind and u start running out of room u wonder if the power will ever stop building

I need a 13 v2 so bad I can't stand it :flaming:
