even when connecting the line to the bar? and what about the loop that connects to the line on the kite. would that be a larkshead to?

The line attached to the bar is your leader line. I think most bars use some form off a stopper knot (usually an overhand knot or figure eight) after
the line has been passed through a hole somewhere in the bar. Both ends off your kite line are larksheaded to the stopper knots on your leader line
and bridle
For anyone who cares, the "larkshead" is more commonly known as "choke" in a line in the rope/rigging world. Also known as "cows hitch", "ring
hitch",and "barrel sling"
