Old School Session on the FS 19m

Flying G Zeus - 27-7-2011 at 06:11 AM

Every once in a while it all just works out- warm and sunny, tide just right for flat water leeward of the sand bar, and steady seabreeze! The FS 19m is good for more than just mowing the grass in light wind. Shot last week at Stoney Beach, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Every time I see a picture or video of Stoney Beach it reminds me how much I want to visit that spot. I see that you're in shorts, eh? How warm is it up there anyway? Was there any surf to be had? I've kited PEI and Magdalen, now I need to add NS to my list of places. :)

Air and water temp change a lot from day to day. N vs. S wind. Water gets up to 15- 18deg. cel. and air 15- 25ish deg. celcius. The shallow waters on the North shore of NS are the warmest N of the Carolinas. Like bath water.

After the old school session, with the wind and rising tide we had a pretty sweet strapless sesh in the waves. You get the best of both at Stoney. Just not always that consistent due to the miserable fog. Guess you can't have it all.

Sweet! - My reaction 21 seconds into the video as you do a board off. Man I need to work on my skills. That one is going on favorite and repeat. Now on to watch the remaining 1:54!

Hey man, where is Stoney Beach? I lived in Halifax for 5 years and Antigonish for 4...

My wife is actually from Wolfville.

BTW Beauty Video!

Thanks for all the kind remarks.

Stoney Beach is the one right before (less than 1 minute by car) Lawrencetown main beach. Stoney is the only one with a river running thru it and the parking lot is right off the 207. Approx. 30 minutes from downtown Halifax.
