I promise, it's not a poll a day diet
There are a lot of factors that influence what kite size you use; wind speed, terrain type, buggy, tires, belly weight, ... but hey still a good
question!
Ok, so most of you use a open cell ram air foil... What's your go to kite size? (Round down)
EDIT: Ok, I botched this one... I said closed cell but I mean open cell... oops for multi-tasking! Caught it with two responses, so we're good

12 Speed3. Huge wind range. Great kite. 'nuf said.
I probably ride my 15m more, but if I had a choice, I grab the 12 first... It is what I want to fly...

Er, oops! I'd agree a 12m closed cell is a sweet spot, but I actually meant to post this for open cell. :embarrased: My bad! Edited above...

Er...

I love them all in their proper range but most prefer flying in the conditions suited for my 10m
Drewculous - 2-8-2011 at 03:00 PM
My 5.6 is my go to
ripsessionkites - 2-8-2011 at 03:31 PM
it only let me vote once
locally here (light to extreme light up to 12 knots) the 11.2 and the 16.1
if we have wind at Sunset, OR - onshore mid to high winds 11.2 or the 7.8
nabx winds - either the 3.2, 2.7 or the proto RII 2.2m
this years nabx, the blue / white - no logo vapor version ............... *ill never tell*
if it was closed cell, even though I never flew one yet, but i really really want one, FS Unity 12m DLX
mougl - 2-8-2011 at 03:43 PM
Typically I have had the best luck with 9m+ here. At JIBE if I fly FB I like 6m+ at NABX I'm thinking 3ish meter
Kamikuza - 2-8-2011 at 06:44 PM
6.7 ... I'm rounding up
AD72 - 2-8-2011 at 09:26 PM

I've got 4 kites in the 5m range , no doubt my most usefull size , but I'm really liking the feel of my feet off the ground and the 10m Apex is
getting a lot of use lately.
