I really wish that I was able to get a demo on one of these before I order a new kite in the next few weeks

No questioning your loyalty to Flysurfer over the last couple of years..........ping Ted at Flysufer-USA or Powerzone, they may be able to send you a demo........................in the mean time if you want to try my 12m Pulse 2 before your cold weather moves in let me know. Ill be off the water till the end of Sep/early October. ENT doc wont remove my trach until my last PT scan is complete (14 Sep)..........................not to mention Im still regaining strength from radiation treatments (talk about an a** kicker):shocked2:

Appears the Unity has a new tip design, triple depower, and looks to be a higher AR. My P2 has 5th line installed and Ozone Megatron CL which is light years ahead of the pre infinity bars CLs. If you release the CL no issues reconnecting. The P3 I bought from Kami is rigged identical, well done Kami!! Forgot to mention new depower line (Amsteel blue) and flying lines stretched to identical lengths. Mixer tuned to b minus 2cm c minus 1cm.........nfleech has flown her twice since and ripped it hooked and unhooked..........last time he flew it he was the only one out.............let me know mi amigo!

Looking at the Flysurfer calendar there is an event in the middle of Sept, but that is further away from you in Hood River, Oregon.

If you have a good relationship with a Flysurfer dealer, you could always check to see if there is a demo they could loan you for a short time, if you covered the shipping.

Last ditch is to talk to a dealer or someone with time on the kite to get their feedback (possibly in relation to kites you have already flown), then... buy, try, and resell if it doesn't work for you.

Other than that, I am tapped for ideas.

hey what about forum member PBC kiteboarding in Toronto...............he is def one of your Canadian FSer dealers and from his vids a sweet skill set. His style and control with FSer is identical to Powerzone. John has a serious skill set!

Well I appreciate the offer....right now I'm set on getting riding on the water, I finally have my tax return sent out in the mail, should be here in the next week or two. I still have my mind on the North Evo, but watching those videos I keep thinking that the 12m unity is right in the same price range. I tried a local Flysurfer shop and they basically told me I wouldn't get a demo any time soon, and FS USA told me to try to work something out in Canada. I'm sure that I'll make out fine with the EVO though and that will be what I end up getting in the end. That auto-relaunch just looks so impressive on a foil.

well the Evos are nice.................havent flown one but plenty do here in Chaz. The Unity replaced the Pulse 2 so the P2 is somewhat close with alot easier relaunch than your Speed 2..........offer to fly her till or near the end of Sep still stands..........If you like the 12m P2 Im guessing the Infinity would be icing............let me know!

that auto relaunch is def nice when youre freestyling..................the I 2 bar looks nice as well....................good luck Shaggs but you need to get a move on your liquid H20 season is coming to an end...........................:o

yeah I know the summer has rolled by so fast next thing it will be -40 and too cold for my liking to kite. I think my 5/4 wetsuit should keep the season open for me for a while though. Went into the water last year when it was +9c not sure what water temps were though. Been fighting since April to get my tax return, just got a reply that they sent it out on the 2nd, soon I'll be able to order. I also noticed that the 2012 Cabrinha's are out so the 2011 line-up is on sale, the crossbow IDS looks real nice, but I like the North Bar more.

Those guys from ten foot touque were up here two winters back. Super cool and super nice. He runs a school too (that's why he was out here) so I bet you might just get a demo....if he has the kites. Last time out at the lake here Mike (FS Distributor) was trying out and demoing off a Spleene 13 something or other. (He's also the Spleene importer/distrib I think). I'd bet that if he had a Unity I'd have seen it or heard about it by now so I'm not sure they exist in Canada yet.

Ted should come down here for a demo sometime. A bunch of guys have asked me about FS's since I'm the only guy here who's ever flown one. If they ever improve the gust handling to be equal to a modern inflato and design it for wave riding, I'd buy one (assuming I had the dough ;) ).

The 2.0 bar is sweet but went through some factory production issues.

I keep staring at them:lol: I'm locking in on the 12mEvo for now too many good reviews. Next spring I'll set out to get a couple of these. That new Infinity is so damn sexy, would love to get one for the speed2 for this winter season. Gawd I should just win the lottery already wait you have to buy a ticket to win.

I wonder what custom colors this comes in. Not a fan of the graphics. Put me down for one like the all red Speed 2 deluxe. 1st gen Pulses looked the best.
