Jekyll Island Video

flyguy0101 - 6-8-2011 at 07:19 PM

Well here is a short video of Andrew and I from our weekend at Jekyll. Little disappointed that the camera died on Sunday so missed the bigger jumps but hope you enjoy. and please let me know what you think. Video wise i think it is the best i have done yet. Might post another next week of some of the odd items like Andrew falling face first in a tidal pool, or the buggy flying away when i hooked the arc to it (sat still for about 1/2 hr)

Enjoy

Hint: if you cant hear anything when the music stops turn up the volume- i was trying to explaining sending the kite to Andrew

nice fly !

Very, very enjoyable.

Errr...ummm.... the only problem is I have a sudden urge to grab a tooth pick and a Tecate Beer (with lime), doff a pair finely aged distressed brown Nocana boots, and use my dog as an ottoman..... what's up with that. :puzzled:

For inline videos, you just need to include the vid id (DyNHxDQoWdI in this case) between the youtube tags.... not the whole URL.

Thanks guys, we had a ton of fun and I think I have the most awesome sons (carter doesnt kite yet, but has decided he wants to try it). He was a real trooper during the trip and Sunday after the battery died and wind really picked up Andrew was able to get some 5-6 ft jumps as well. I wish the camera was working then. On a side note- we filmed almost 3 hrs of helmet cam and about 30 minutes on the tripod before camera died. I think the tripod shots are much more enjoyable to watch. What do you guys think? Also outside of my lack of ability to go to my weak side- any tips from you guys on the "sending" lesson?
Scott

Am very jealous !!!

bobalooie57 - 8-8-2011 at 10:15 AM

Scott, I like seeing many angles, but I understand how easy it is to forget about the helmet cam. I usually end up with lots more footage from that perspective than any other. Now, if I had 3-4 cameras like Todd... :dunno: It would just mean lots more editing! 3.5 hrs on a charge seems about right. I get about 4-4.5 on a set of 'Ultimate Lithiums'(less in the cold), but unfortunately the Micro won't use re-chargeable batteries. Don't be too jealous, cheezy, you have a fine budding photographer to take with you(who needs a tripod?), in your son, and as much as your daughter likes riding, I can see her "Riding Like a Girl" somday!

Great vid; these guys really know how to ride and have a good time. Andrew sure is a trooper and a good sport. Great visit!
