I heard this is how Powerzone launches his kites. I just might try it. So what if the LEI guys laugh if I fail. I bet it will work just fine, just
not in marginal winds.dawicks - 10-8-2011 at 08:33 PM
Those trees seemed too close for my comfort... but hey I've only kite-surfed on prairie lakes... and space is NOT an issue.

i do love the way those things launch... all flappy and stuff and then that sound that they make when they fill out

I've seen powerzone do it, and he's helped me do it. We did it with my SA2 19m. Maybe get a bud to spot you the first time you do it?
basically, when i did it with PZ we just gave it a little preinflate, laid it out flat and made sure there weren't tangles, then quickly walked back
and laid out the lines. He is the expert though.bigkahuna - 18-8-2011 at 01:17 AM
