Glen do you mind hitting up some of the blo-kart guys...?

bobalooie57 - 18-8-2011 at 09:20 AM

Got it on my calendar, I'm not 100% sure I can get a dog sitter, but am gonna try. mmmm... the smell of burning rubber! tires screechin' on the turns! :wee:

bobalooie57 - 18-8-2011 at 09:32 AM

Oh, is anyone camping(tenting?) Is there a way to get sites next to each other?

Not sure Bob. But I was told that it is empty that weekend... If you camp, can't you bring the dog with you...?

bobalooie57 - 18-8-2011 at 10:13 AM

I'm not sure either of us would survive the ride! He doesn't do vehicles well, and a 75 lb. pit bull jumping around in the truck is a hazard. If I could give him a valium now, maybe, but being chained in the campsite might also be a problem. Though a pit, not usually a loud breed, he seems to think he's a beagle or something, because he will bark incessantly at anything he sees! I'm working on getting a neighbor used to him, so I'll have a sitter if it works out. Any of the Mass. crew coming?

Jaymz - 18-8-2011 at 10:16 AM

I was hoping/planning for another Sept 11/12 weekend "memorial" bash? I can only make Sunday the 25th that weekend. See you there.

cheezycheese - 18-8-2011 at 10:28 AM

Pretty sure the Mass crew will be in the house. Spoke with Danny and Paul both are aware of the date.

I'll be there in spirit my brothers! Ride strong and ride safe!

Kober - 18-8-2011 at 04:38 PM

can't wait .......
I want to get my brother to go with me and get addicted ( this way I can buy some more kites with his money .... lol )

Pitbulls ...... Love them ..... I was proud owner of 2

bobalooie57 - 18-8-2011 at 04:43 PM

@ Todd, your 7000 go-pro's will be sorely missed. :sniff: (as well as you, bro) Looks like Kober's 2 will be heavily abused! Hopefully I'll be there to capture some of the fun, too!

buggydanny - 18-8-2011 at 09:46 PM

I am planning on attending at least one day if not both. (Will start lobbying the wife)

Paul (doublespped360) said that he is willing to go.

Dean (kiteguru) has express some interest, but doesn't know if his schedule will allow it.

I will check and see if any other of the mass crew want to attend.

Dan

cheezycheese - 20-8-2011 at 10:47 PM

Whoop-whoop kite loop....!!! :thumbup::thumbup:

kiteplace - 21-8-2011 at 01:42 PM

Hey Bob,
I'm going to reserve a campsite for Friday thru Monday.
Up to 6 people are permitted per site.
You are welcome to join me, and maybe Jesse.
Also looks like a great place to Kayak and bike if we are not blessed with wind.
Don:smilegrin:

cheezycheese - 22-8-2011 at 02:00 AM

you are the man Don...!!!

bobalooie57 - 22-8-2011 at 05:17 AM

Yes he is! We probably should pad up for this one! Smaller kites, too! Like the playa(I guess), only no dust to slide out on. A little wind will go a long way! :wee:

Kober - 26-8-2011 at 07:50 AM

countdown begins ...... lol

bobalooie57 - 26-8-2011 at 07:56 AM

It looks like we will be having that Friday (the 23rd) off from work again. Maybe I'll be able to get down there sometime during the day on Friday! :bigok:

MikeDobbs - 27-8-2011 at 02:04 PM

Hi all- I'm new to ATB and buggying and would love to check out the Rally. Not sure if I can camp though- does anyone know if there is parking for vehicles not camping overnight? Live on LI, so it's an easy drive from my place.

Thanks!

cheezycheese - 27-8-2011 at 02:14 PM

Yes you can park where we will be flying. :bigok: hope to see you out there...!!

MikeDobbs - 27-8-2011 at 03:11 PM

Awesome I'll be there- already cleared it with the wife!

kiteplace - 27-8-2011 at 11:04 PM

Is there parking at the camp sites?
I ask becaues I get a campsite to share with friends in tents but sleep in my "Van".
Also the link, in your first post, to Camping reservations brings me back to PKF?

bobalooie57 - 28-8-2011 at 02:38 AM

Hey Don, I think this link will get you there. http://www.nps.gov/gate/planyourvisit/camping-at-gateway.htm

then click on the reserve your site field, and in the search box for park put "Gateway".

Kober - 5-9-2011 at 10:47 PM

matthewlavin - 16-9-2011 at 07:50 AM

Hey guys. I just got back to NYC from the Mountain View, CA area. They have the most amazing kite park there at Shoreline.
I live in NYC, without a car. I've been to floyd bennet to landboard a bunch over the years. However I have to take a subway with my gear into Brooklyn and then get a ride from the station. Its only 15 minutes away from the field. Is anyone passing through the city or brooklyn that could give me a lift one or both of the days? I could bring the bagels and cream cheese or anything else from the city :spin:
Let me know if anyone has some room.
best,
matthew :wee:

cheezycheese - 16-9-2011 at 08:38 AM

Hey Marc,
Due to circumstances beyond my control, the date for my weekend in Wildwood with my Granddaughters had to be changed.
Unfortunately it was changed to the same weekend as the Cheezeball Buggy Bash.
Sorry to say I have to cancel out.

cheezycheese - 16-9-2011 at 09:53 PM

Bring to FBF. They have a large recreation/gym building with rock climbing walls trampolines dance classes and a host of other activities.
But no problem dude I understand... Would have been nice to have you...

Kober - 21-9-2011 at 10:39 PM

few more days .... lol
What time you planning to be there on Saturday ????

cheezycheese - 22-9-2011 at 12:49 AM

Maybe 9ish....

Crash - 22-9-2011 at 01:04 AM

Hey Gang, great to hear it's on again ! :bigok: I'll put the word out and let the crew know it's this weekend. I will try to get there early and help if needed. I can't wait and hope the weather holds out......gonna be a blast

Jaymz - 22-9-2011 at 05:25 AM

Won't be long now ;) I'll bring an EZ-up canopy, generator, and some grill food. I'm sure there will be a few EZ-ups like last year. Tailgate Party if it rains. 40% chance of rain for Sat and 30% on Sunday. Not too bad.
See y'all around 10am Sat.

cheezycheese - 22-9-2011 at 06:30 AM

We had the same predictions last year and had a great time... Just pray for wind !!!

martinipro - 22-9-2011 at 11:30 AM

I'm glad this is still on regarding the poor foretasted weather!

I will definitely attend one if not both days. Looking forward to meeting some of you guys.
