forecast early next week looks to be rockin on galveston island... high 20's, low 30's sunday through tuesday, of which tuesday is my only day off
work... i am hoping to get to the island around 2pm tuesday and play until the sun sets...
id rather not do it alone, those winds are pretty high... anyone else going down?

I am heading up to Oklahoma City this weekend but will be back on monday .. see you on the water on tuesday!!!
Wind direction is out of the north .. where do you propose is the good spot to surf in?

if the models hold, then it should be a NE wind, pretty good for galveston... there will prob be some kiters around the seawall somewhere... or maybe
the state park...
the seawall would prob be better for safety reasons, though might prove tough launch depending on the actual direction of the wind- the wind signature
might be troublesome

looks like that data was based on a tropical storm coming... its already been changed twice since my post, so who knows what might happen...
now its lookin like friday is the day... and of course, ill be at work and school : /

been keepin an eye on the forecast... and looks like its back on bigger than earlier predicted...
highs in the 30's.... daaaaaaang :o
anybody going to the dike?.... is there a better spot, its gonna be almost straight onshore there, normally im cool with onshore, but maybe not in
35mph winds for my first time out in them....
