I'd really like to bring some sort of boom mount for the GoPro to SOBB. Anyone have any / seen any links to quick & easy DIY solutions or should I

The roll bar (I think) mount clamps right on to a libre rear axle. You can borrow mine. I also have a knee pad mount that can look forward, at the
rider, or to the side that you are welcome to use. The side view in 920 fisheye gets some of the rider, bug, and all of the kite. Pretty slick

Idea came from my paragliding instructors, I expanded on it a little. Cost about $25 to build. I can post pics later today if anyone would like to

I picked up a cheap 60 minute egg timer and stuck on an adhesive gopro mount to the top of it. Set the camera to take a picture every 2 seconds for
interesting panning time laps backdrop views.
This is some of the ideas I shot at this years Hatteras trip... Pan for 15-20 minutes for the sunrise and sunset (throw some kiters in the foreground
too), put it in the middle /edge (60 min /30min panning) of the rigging /staging area, put it at the edge of the action and set it for 30 minutes (180
degree pan), put it in the middle of a big supper /party.

Knee pad mount:
I actually wear the knee pad upside down, which orients it correctly for me. I cut the mesh out of the back and extended the leg straps to be more
comfortable when worn over bulky clothes by grown-ups. Pliers to get the rivets out to provide access to the back, added the two curved sticky mounts
with holes drilled at the corners and secured with small stainless bolts and lock nuts. The rivets where replaced with post screws so nothing to stab
me if (when) I crash. You do need to dremel a SMALL amount of plastic off of the go pro shoe itself just at the front corners to clear the bolt
heads. I also spotted a couple of holes in the shell for lanyard attatchment.
