just wanted to say....

i know its a few days early, but ten years has passed since a horrible day in our history... and at the very least i wish to pay my respects... and any differences in political views, religions, whatever.... shouldnt distract from the memory of those invloved.

It seems like the past week has been nothing but arguing about every little aspect of the coming ceremonies, and party bickering... and its just too bad...

I watched some of the old news footage today, just to reflect... and it is crazy how a simple youtube video can take you back to a single minute of your life, and make you wonder how you would have handled a situation as unreal as that.... i just can t understand the need to argue about something that hurt/affected so many

maybe its the hippy in me, that just wants everyone to get along..... and the cynical-arse, that is truly disgusted that everyone cant...

At any rate, i will remember, i wont fight, and i will keep everyone affected in my heart, basically because any word i type here (or anywhere) wont be able to express the way i feel....

i plan on turning the tv off, and spending time with those i love, grateful for everything we have, and mindful of those who lost someone that day ten years back

peace.

Drew, very nice statement! I agree totally that the "news" and "political views" have definitely got in the way of such a tragic event and the memories that each of us have of the event. I can remember exactly where I was when I found out and was sitting in front of the t.v. watching every moment of the tragedy. I am a very patriotic person and was totally devastated by the events.

I will also be remembering every person that suffered that day as well as those who are still suffering today because of the events that took place!

Drew, that was awesome man. Seriously thank you for putting that out there.

Nicely put. Me too.

Well put Drew. That day my life changed fundamentally. The memory of watching the second plane impact and the towers collapsing will always be with me and so will the resolve to protect this country that I carried while deployed. To remember is to honor and to celebrate life and freedom that has been purchased for us I think is the best way to remember. I am with you, lets just get along, it is simpler that way, but if someone wants to take my freedom then we can't get along any more. I can't coexist with that. Just like you Drew, just jotting some thoughts down.
