So, I've been considering getting a buggy next year.
Nothing super pricey, mostly a weekend trip buggy.
That said, if I do get a buggy, I want to have a modification to hold my bouldering pads.
That way when I'm cruising alpine deserts I can cruise long distance boulder circuits.

I am thinking something along the lines of a tandem buggy, with the second rig geared more towards hauling gear rather than passengers. Either that
or something like the Libre Expedition Buggy (see attachment). In either case, it appears you will have some ducets to set aside.

I expect... depends on changes and amount of money you are willing to spend.
Lest you start pondering a second mortgage, I forgot that Angus had posted an article about building a DIY cargo deck. How feasible that would be for you would depend on what you finally get for a buggy and the size of the bouldering
pad(s).

I don't have any bills.
All of my life is devoted to my vision for the future.
I was in school for computer engineering/ philosophy and I was SO unhappy.
Dropped what I was doing, never saw a mountain in my life and decided I wanted to explore the world/mountaineer.
Fast forward 8 months double black telemark skiier, winter mountaineer, ice climber/ alpinist.
No bills, responsibilities.
Just me, and the elements.
WAY better use of my intellect.

I'm sure the point of that pretentious rant was that I have lots of spare income.
I don't make much but I don't spend jack on bills.
I like the DIY deck.
but after all the mods I'd have to buy for buggies I'm pretty sure it would come close to that expedition
