I have been having some good editing ideas for kiting in my head and (since I don't have the skills to actually do any cool tricks or anything) I
would like to see what I can do.
So if ANYONE has any good raw clips of them kiting (with at least decent quality) could they send them to me?
I will not be posting videos myself or selling them or anything, I just want to get these ideas out of my head and see what I can do. I can send you
the edited copy when I'm done.
Anything works.
Buggy
MTB/ATB
Water
I don't really care if there are any cool tricks, I prefer multiple cameras or longer lengths of video, but anything is fine with me.

carltb - 3-10-2011 at 02:00 PM
ive got abit of footage but how do i get it to you?
AD72 - 3-10-2011 at 02:32 PM
I have gigs and gigs of gopro stuff that lies unedited. Do you have a FTP?
AD72 - 3-10-2011 at 04:42 PM
Does anyone out there have a FTP to host (send info via u2u).
macboy - 3-10-2011 at 07:46 PM
I can set one up for this. I'll do it before bed tonight. Drew, AD72 and Carl - I'll U2U you the login stuff. I'll purge it once a week just so it
doesn't bloat.
macboy - 3-10-2011 at 08:19 PM
All set. Drew, Drew, AD72 and Carl, I've sent the FTP creds your way. I'll purge it every Monday AM so make sure you've put and grabbed what you
want/need by then and it'll keep fresh.
Anyone else wants the info just let me know or anyone that has the info go ahead and share. If things get outta control we can always pull the plug
but it's got unlimited bandwidth and about 100 gigs of storage available so we should be OK.
Please, personal videos only. No DVD rips or pirated software or anything illegal that will get me thrown in the slammer. I will not review any of the
files and take no responsibility for the files that get posted.
(NOTE: As of right now the server is dropping connections. Must be doing upgrades. Should be reliable soon - these are GoDaddy servers. Keep trying if
it drops you or won't connect. It's odd to have FTP issues with them.)

AD72 if you put your videos on macboys FTP could you put "AD72" as the start of the filename so I know that it is from you?
I'm really interested in the GoPro videos
Got me all excited
Thank you macboy for helping with this.
What exactly is a FTP?
AD72 - 3-10-2011 at 10:15 PM
Uploading now Gopro helmet cam video taken Friday September 30th. 7M North Fuse - Mako King. Freeride wind 20-30mph. 739mb
Thank you for hosting. It would be cool to have a compilation video of PKF users in action.
XdisasterXdrewX - 3-10-2011 at 10:18 PM
thank you so much.
Does it say how long it will take to upload?
AD72 - 3-10-2011 at 10:20 PM
I will put them in a folder AD72. AD72-GOPR0587.MP4 is the first trial one. It looks like it is going to take a while. Maybe I will send one a
night. I have to go through my stuff and send ones I am not swearing and the lens is not covered in water.
XdisasterXdrewX - 3-10-2011 at 10:23 PM
hahaha I know how that is.
But even if you are, there is a good chance there will be music instead of the normal audio
AD72 - 3-10-2011 at 10:25 PM
it is File Transfer Protocol. I am currently uploading through an Internet Explorer window. It has been a while since I did this. I used to play a
lot of Quake and would transfer maps to friends. Do you have a recommended (faster) FTP client?
AD72 - 3-10-2011 at 10:29 PM
I am going to have to start learning backrolls at very least if I am going to be cut in with CTB video.
van - 4-10-2011 at 07:56 AM
Use Filezilla client .. one of my favorites.
lamrith - 4-10-2011 at 07:59 AM

PHREERIDER - 4-10-2011 at 11:53 AM

Seems to be working great. I'll skip this Monday's purge unless it nears our limits. Anyone with FTP "in" access will be able to download the files
too so feel free to share with others through this FTP port as well. Just be mindful of the purge window - Monday am around 10:00MST.
XdisasterXdrewX - 4-10-2011 at 02:32 PM
thanks everyone.
At this rate my hard drive should be full in 2 days.
AD72 - 4-10-2011 at 07:26 PM
Filezilla seems to be working well. Still long upload - maybe I should be doing smaller files. 13min video = 1.2 gb = 2hrs upload. One of the time
consuming parts of video editing is scanning through the footage to find the good tidbits.
GoPro lessons learned:
- Always put the rain-x on the lens. I have hours of drip covered footage.
- Charge the camera and delete all the files at home
- Put a strip of paper towel inside the housing to prevent fogging.
- Don't open the housing onsite where it is humid and sandy
- Tighten the helmet strap. I have a couple of videos that are difficult to watch as the helmet cam bounces around.
- Put a leash around the camera tied to the helmet. Twice I had the snap clip break fortunately camera stayed on.
I ordered a board fin mount today so I can get another perspective. Same camera angle gets old after awhile.
The main thing that has been good about having the camera is watching what mistakes I made and what worked.
PHREERIDER - 4-10-2011 at 07:35 PM
AD72 good points , def a leash!
couple breaks myself with the clip thingy
the MAC really flows nice . the cpu does it all except the "USB" in the screen is NOT a charge mode.
DON"T OPEN OUTSIDE!
good feedback on what you're doing for sure!
AD72 - 6-10-2011 at 10:49 PM
3 videos posted. Want anymore? How's it coming along? What kind of music do you plan to use?
XdisasterXdrewX - 7-10-2011 at 11:49 AM
Im not really sure now.
In my head I was thinking of a MTB/action packed/tricks-galore kind of thing.
But I'm still gonna try something.
I have 2 downloaded, ill get to downloading the third now
AD72 - 24-10-2011 at 04:25 PM

Todd - 24-10-2011 at 04:45 PM
