Just got an Ozone Flow 5m and when opened the package, it wasn't the usual blue colour I've seen - it is green. Was told it was a demo kite. Anyone
know if they've released new colours or do the demos come in different varieties?

2010,
The 2M was olive green, white, dark grey.
The 3M was red, orange, dark grey.
The 4M was orange, white, dark grey.
The 5M was blue, white, dark grey.
The colors remained the same in 2010.
They are filtering in new stuff on the Ozone website. If you look at the Flow page. New colors (assuming 2012) colors are up.
D@mn... they nuked my favorite Flow color scheme.
They elves must still be busy Photoshopping though because if you zoom the pics, ALL the images say 2.0M on the wingtip.
You might have gotten a 2012 model or an earlier demo before colors were finalized for either the 2010 or 2011 year.
Demos don't come in alternate colors. However, kites targeted for schools/training facilities do. So that's another possibility. Check out shaggs' Pink Ozone Access.
Can always give Windzup a call if you are really, really curious. They were extremely nice on the phone.

Thanks Sam - thought you might have some info for me! I have the dark olive green 5 meter. Bloody lovely looking kite though!indigo_wolf - 9-9-2011 at 05:48 PM
Post a pic when you get a chance..... that looks like the color that the 2.0 meter used to be. Outside of the old 3M color scheme, it was my
favorite. As I remember, Maven was also very fond of that color.

Sam
P.S. Looking forward to your impressions on the Pure.rtz - 21-9-2011 at 07:34 PM
The yellow one is the 4m. It appears they may have changed the bridle? It seems different(in groups of 4).
Ozone has changed the colors of the flows a couple times. First the 2m was green, then they swapped the 2 and 3 meter colors because they were
running out of the red color fabric, then the 2 meter went to blue and the 5 meter went green. It is tough to know what color the kites are going to
be now. Seems that they change the colors every time we order. As far as I know, there were never actual demo's issued for resale. You could have
however ended up with a shop's demo kite - which would have been a normal production kite that the shop used as a demo.DAKITEZ - 21-9-2011 at 09:45 PM
I have had a few flows come through here that did not match the colors that Ozone lists to be the color for that size. They fell into the same color
schemes as the 2011 kites but a 4m was the color a 2m was suppose to be , etc ..
@ Indigo I have no doubt Windzup could answer this question, but were you aware they are no longer the distributor for ozone in the USA?
Edit: Kent and I were typing at the same time ... Yes what he said. His
explanation was much better than mineindigo_wolf - 22-9-2011 at 02:21 AM

Yes.... Steve and Brent in Corpus Christi now. Threw up Windzup because they had recently posted in the forum (liquidating their Ozone stock), and my
rather pleasant exchange with them very recently.
FWIW: On the depowers and Method, Ozone includes the disclaimer "Color may be subject to change based on material availability." Rather than missing
out on sales, I could easily see them applying that policy to other kites in the product line if material shortages become dire enough.
So it seems like the Ozone color options are:Standard
Custom
"I'm Feeling Lucky" (à la Google)
