a minute of silence

bugymangp - 20-9-2011 at 07:07 AM

hey guys
many of you might be aware that AJ is missing as of right now
he was a good friend of mine.
i would like to hold a minute of silence at WBB this year and i will write a little something about him and have you guys write on a kite i plan to release to the sky. i think it would be nice to do right before the BBQ on saturday night.

Thank you guys. I'd like for us to do something in his honor at NABX '12 as well. Let's do this right.

I also would like to suggest a moment of silence. But that we all do it now in order to harness the power of good will that will find AJ. It's not if he'll be found, it's when. Hang in there AJ, we are all pulling for ya.

Hope and prayers for him and his family.

I was thinking the same thing that Bobby said but didn't want to jump in too soon.
There are a few other things I was thinking but I'll still wait till maybe later this week to discuss ... a celebration of life either way.

BeamerBob - 20-9-2011 at 10:32 AM

Mark I wholeheartedly hope I jumped the gun here. It's just been rolling around in my head and ended up as a post.

bigkahuna - 20-9-2011 at 10:35 AM

I'm still hoping and praying that this story has a happy ending. I wasn't there nor do I have any information that would warrant such optimism, but until I know for sure I'm keeping a positive outlook on this.

bugymangp - 20-9-2011 at 11:46 AM

i too hope for the best but fear the worst.

totally understand Bobby - we are just reaching out to each other for support anyway we can through emails, posts, phone calls, moments alone etc - it's all good. I've had a tidal wave of emotions running the last couple of days.

bugymangp - 20-9-2011 at 12:23 PM

i cant stop crying.

bugymangp - 20-9-2011 at 12:27 PM

i now remember at nabx when i earned my buggy naked pin. AJ was right behind me and earned his too the same day.
i`m just beside myslef with emotions.

It's been painful number of days for many of us on Power Kite Forum with the sudden loss of a very close friend. There have been a few suggestions already but it's a time like this that makes me wonder what we could do as a community to express our feelings. When it comes to our passion it's something that is often not fully understood by family and friends that do not share it. There has been such an overwhelming show of remorse for the loss of AJ it would be nice to do something on behalf of the PKF family to show the family just how much we care and just how many lives were touched - not sure if that's simply doing a collection and sending something on our behalf or on an individual basis. I'm all in favour of whatever ceremonies take place at an event or a smaller personal level. Just makes me think there is something we could think about as we have lost a number of very dear friends that have inspired other over the years.

After speaking with Rich this afternoon the fall bash will be dedicated in the rememberance of AJ. I would be honored to produce a video and share with his family. Glen please give me your thoughts.

I'm buring his dog's collar as close to the point I can remember where he buried him. Never understood why he gave us the collar until now. May AJ and Caddo rest in peace.
