Alright this is probably one for sam or i am just an idiot but is there a way in the settings to show new postings first instead of having to scroll
through the old ones to see a new posting?
thanks

Click the green arrow on the right side by the "last post" info.. for the thread..Chad - 22-9-2011 at 12:09 PM
That would depend on your theme.... the arrows on the far right (by select a forum) will take you to the bottom of the page. if you have your settings
right like show first 100 posts it will work for the first 100... bla bla bla you know what I mean
nothing to show new ones first?indigo_wolf - 22-9-2011 at 06:25 PM
The 4 arrows highlighted by the red arrow will take you to the end of the "page." This will work regardless of if you are viewing the list of forum
categories, the threads in a particular forum section, a particular thread, or "Today's Posts". What particular item is at the end of the "page" for
any of these scenarios will be based on what you have your "topics per page" and "posts per page" settings set to in your profile (see #1 & #2,
respectively, below).
As lamrith said, when you are looking at a list of threads, clicking the arrow/button (green in most themes and highlighted by the read arrow below)
will take you to the last post in a thread. It doesn't matter if the post is on the first or fifth page on the lists of posts.... it jumps to to
absolute last post in the thread.
Viewing the forum in reverse posting order is not supported to the best of my knowledge. And honestly, you wouldn't like it in all but the fewest
scenarios. If there were a lot of postings in a thread or heaven forbid, someone posted a looooooong, pithy response since the last time you visited, you would still find yourself scurrying to scroll.

Anytime.... sorry for the lag time on the response (and lamrith had you sorted, in any case).
