Slideshow Night

robvree - 12-3-2006 at 10:15 AM

This year I have decided to put on an informal slideshow night (maybe even multiple nights, who knows). I'm bringing with me a swanky, high tech digital projector so we can project our favorite images from past years onto the big white tent, or the side of a camper. I figure we can sit around a campfire, drink some beer and have a great show. I have hundreds... OK thousands... Maybe even tens of thousands of images from the past six or so years but I'm asking everyone who has digital images of the past events to PLEASE burn them onto a DVD or CD and bring them with you. I'll do my magic and quickly put them together into a slideshow and add them to the mix.

Also, if anyone has a large white sheet or even an old school projector screen, please bring it with you. NOTICE: Anything you bring to the playa WILL GET DIRTY.

Can't wait to see everyone.

Cheers!

I'll try to get some of pictures scanned and burnt onto a CD. I have some good ones from the early years. The event started before the digital age.

I realize many people have been taking pictures at past buggy blasts with those old school film cameras. If you only have slides or negatives and you want to have your images in the slideshow, you either need to find a friend or local camera shop that can scan them in for you. Another option is to use an online service like http://www.britepix.com.

If you have prints, I am offering to scan up to 50 images for you at no cost, but you must mail them to me ASAP (like use FedEX). If you are interested, email me and I will send you my home address. At the very latest, I must have the prints in my hands by the end of Friday, March 17th.

Cheers!

The digital projector is also capable of playing Movies. If anyone has any movies that they have created from footage of past events, bring them along.

Awesome. I've seen your photos before, and you've got some great shots. I'll be looking forward to seeing more.
