I broke a line today on a set that has seen 5 sessions of use. Do I just shorten all 4 and re-sleeve? It is a back line that broke a foot from the
bar.
I was launching an ARC and the chicken loop slipped out, bar yanked out of my hands and shot up the front line attached to my leash. :shocked2:

I figure I will get the re-sleeving kit and then try to sew. I have one set of lines that has knots rather than stitching. They are a pain in the ass
to get untangled due to the knots.
I didn't get to fly the 9M Phantom on the water as planned today. Instead I tried a 7M North Fuse and 7M Cabrinha Convert from some friends. I liked

shorten re-sleeve. really the choice come with to sew or knot, ( the sewn ends can go close to the bar for slide ring stuff) . sometimes the
knots will do slide ring action but need a little bigger rings.
the line/s that have been stressed to fracture! i try to use them for land stuff but should fall away from top tier choice for use on the water.
unless they're still fresh. if nothing, extensions or a nice novelty short like 10-15m.
dacron 1/8 " poly , and a guitar string fid.
Have you ever had a line break when the safety on an arc released?

Here is the video of what happened to the line. The spreader bar is a sliding Dyanabar v3 which I have used successfully with the tube kites. It is
great for riding toeside and carving turns. I guess the loop just popped off when there was a horizontal pull from the kite. The loop knocks the bar
out of my hands and then it zings up the front line. In the process it takes out the left steering line a foot up from the bar. Bar is an Ocean
Rodeo SLE 3.0 bar. I like the bar but I am not sure I am going to use it again with an ARC and the front line safety. I don't like the way the bar

you can get a sheeth that slides over your line that lets you tie a regular knot with out much line strength loss. essentially becomes Q-line.

I agree the DD flexed. The loop was unrelased.
I think the steering line was cut by the front line. It saw a lot of friction passing by the front line on the leash as the bar slid up the line.
