Yikes, thanks everybody!! Sam, you are the limit.

Yes it has been a great week. Some of you know that for the last year I have volunteered at the International Seafarers Center here in the port of Brunswick. We operate hospitality centers and small stores to serve the thousands of seafarers/ merchant mariners that pass through our busy seaport every year from all over the world. Just this week I have been added to paid staff on a part time basis to manage their retail store operation. It is great because I manage my own hours and can look after Coastal Wind Sports on a flexible and attentive basis.

The job is giving in many ways. A couple of weeks back, I was working the store late on a Friday night when there was a knock at the door, and a sailor was at the door with some machinist rags cradling a 2 1/2 week old kitten that had been found on-board a giant car carrying ship in a cardboard box.

Her name is Salty (since she came off the ocean of course) We found her at 6.5 oz and she is now up to 14 oz and we think she will make it if we can ween her. Our Chihuahua has kicked into mommy mode and is helping to look after here and keep her cleaned up. Suddenly the Chihuahua seems huge next to her.

I am so sad that we lost AJ, but here at the same time, in a small way, at least for me, is a new life to nourish and move on with.

Bless you all.

Angus

Salty looks quite a match to Nikki too.
