I had a beautiful easterly breeze running at home the other morning. Righto ! thought I - jumped on the lawn mower and preceded to cut some nice wide
strips across the paddocks. With a little bit of other mowing it took me an hour. Grabbed kites and buggy, strode purposefully out to the newly cut
track, put the kite up, wind died. I was NOT amused.
I feel your frustration!!

I found a local elementary school with a 200 X 400 yard soccer field , sits up on a platteau level with the top of the school. Should handle a steady
north wind. 5 or 6 times I've tried , once in what should have been perfect conditions , no good. I keep trying but have yet to find a local spot to
buggy.

I talked to the principle of the local elementary school mid-day....
She was so stoked, next day they brought out the science class to watch me fly when I showed up at the soccer field.
there is nothing more ego stoking than 30+ elementary school kids cheering you on.
i'll admit I went a little harder than I should have considering my skill level... but dammit the children wanted a show
