I'm thinking of finally getting on the water and my bro' lives in Vero Beach, FL now.
Any recommendations for lessons there? Any insight into winter wind patterns?

I've not kited in Vero Beach, but I did visit Stuart, FL a couple winters ago. Wind, water and air temps were perfect for some ocean downwinders.
There's a bigger kiting community down in Jupiter and at least one big kite shop down there also. We had a great time while we were there.

great area Todd........BK is spot on with Jupiter and Jupiter kite boarding......................dont book the last week of Jan unless you dont mind
crowds, tubes galore due to the Jupiter Kite festival and competition. You can stop by Chaz on your way home and show off your newly acquired
skills................
