Kiteboarding with an SLK... **fixed**

Couldn't resist... :wee:

It's almost lackluster now, but I thought it was funny when I saw it...

Don't know what's wrong.. Need to post from a computer and not my phone...

bobalooie57 - 9-10-2011 at 06:13 AM

Here's what I read for youtube code. NleG3wRif3a Maybe it's not quite right? I tried swapping the l for an I, then a 1, but neither of those worked either?

fixed...

Gribble.... must say I was a tad disappointed. I was hoping to see some downwinders (land or water) with a sled based kite.

:sniff::sniff:

I'm sorry. :embarrased: I will refrain from posting lame @ss videos in the future.

indigo_wolf - 9-10-2011 at 12:13 PM

Nah.... post any ole thing. Things have been kind of slow the past couple of weeks. I just need to learn to manage my expectations.

Not sure it ever got off the ground, but this is my lame @ss contribuition. Kind of like the way it breaks down for transit.

Bit of a nod to the Crab Buggy too as far as seating orientation:

Cool looking design.

The kite boat looks really cool. Are there any videos of it in action or is that a model-prototype. The other draw back I see is that it not only looks cool but it looks expensive.

The only video I could find was for an early prototype (notice what looks like wood blocks for the pedals).

Yes, there's always a "fun toy"/price ratio that always seems to get in the way.

Always thought Bart was wakeboarding, not kiting ;)

Looks like it could have potential on low-wind days ... I'd prefer not to be facing sideways though!
What's the kite? Remind me not to buy one

manitoulinkiter1 - 11-10-2011 at 06:38 PM

Hey

Thanks for the second video.
Definitely looks like an early prototype. Not only from the wood block foot rests, but driver ability as well. Looked like a very early try out. Didn't look as fun as I thought it would.
