After a completely non eventful summer of flying,(I have literally flown twice since JIBE) the winds have finally arrived in my town! :singing:
Tomorrow is supposed to be perfect condition for my local spot. 20-25mph WSW! Needless to say I will not be able to sleep tonight awaiting hooking the
trailer up to the truck to head out! Should make for some great runs on the grass! GPS and GoPro will be going!
It should prove to be an absolutely great day! I hope the rest of you get to get out this weekend and have a stellar time as well!:wee:

the OUTLAW rides again....
cheezycheese - 15-10-2011 at 10:04 AM
Flying inland sucks !!! Shifting wind directions, gusts or nothing, lots of sucker wind. Either overpowered or completely underpowered.... But damn I
had FUN !!!
I learned some math today too... Follow the equation...
6m outlaw + 20+mph gusts + BF tires + wet grass = you do the math !!!
Mad wicked isanely scary power slides !!!:roll:
Pics later...
cheezycheese - 15-10-2011 at 11:57 AM

van - 15-10-2011 at 01:51 PM
Cheesy, you think those side rails are nice? Wait until I start makinf the curved side rails for the XR+, you'll really be able to do some mean power
slides :wow:
Todd - 15-10-2011 at 05:30 PM
Glad you guys got in some air time. Blowing way too hard with unpredictable gust that almost made me loose balance on the mountain bike tomorrow is
another day though.
shehatesmyhobbies - 15-10-2011 at 09:12 PM
Yeah I had a few injuries before I even got started, but after a few Ibuprofen, I am starting to feel better, now IF I can fix my daughters kite
before WW all will be well! I will tell you in a phone call!
Todd - 15-10-2011 at 09:40 PM
Good grief man what happened, hope all is well and I don't have a sewing machine but can knit like a mofo
rocfighter - 16-10-2011 at 04:40 AM
Todd you will need some fine needles to knit a sail!! Maybe use wool and make
it 10x larger than you want. And then shrink the holes from it:bigok:
shehatesmyhobbies - 16-10-2011 at 06:19 AM
Brake leads snapped like twigs! Kite itself is fine! Wasn't pretty! All will be good!
cheezycheese - 16-10-2011 at 06:33 AM
How high were the winds Rich...?
Kober - 16-10-2011 at 07:46 AM
...... wow ......... no posts on forum yesterday and today so far ........ looks like everyone is enjoying that crazy wind
...my session yesterday with 7m Gin zulu was awesome ...... water was a bit cold and wind gusting up to 44mph ..... scary ....
..... Today looks like another good windy day ..... this addition needs treatment ...... I am too lazy at work and can't speak about
anything also with my friends ..... they start to hate me ......
Glad you have chance to go out too ..... we have a guy with snapped lines too ...... happy that you ok Rich ....
shehatesmyhobbies - 16-10-2011 at 02:14 PM
Winds were only 20 with gust to 25-30. Kite only got 8 ft off the ground when it went down.Really not sure exactly what happened! After looking more
into it, even separated one of my brake lines right at the handle. Q powerlines, now that was a serious hit! I love those lines and I think I have
another brake line set. No wonder my arms were hurting! Still managed to fly 3m hornet on crossover bar and got 25mph on my little field.
Feel tons better today! I will be solid for WBB!
Kober - 16-10-2011 at 09:31 PM

Kober - 16-10-2011 at 09:53 PM
Sandy Hook Beach (Horse Shoe Cove ).... Highlands NJ .....
cheezycheese - 16-10-2011 at 10:54 PM
@ AD - you were an east coaster right...? When you gonna come back...?:Ange09:
AD72 - 17-10-2011 at 01:56 PM
Yes. I moved out to California in 99. Work brought me out here. My old friends stopped asking when I am moving back. I need to come back and visit
sometime. It has been a year since I was last there in Brooklyn. There are some great spots for kiting out there. I wish this sport was around when
I lived in NY.
If you are ever in Pearl River NY stop by The Defiant Brewing Company. A good friend of mine is the master brewer and owner.
