Funny you say that but yesterday shooting video at 1st street while riding I inadvertently put the GoPro in my crotch to hold it until the next spot.
Surprisingly it took some pretty cool footage.Kober - 17-10-2011 at 07:50 PM
@ Cheezy ..... I am using same mout that you want to borrow from me at WBB ..... lol
@ Tod ..... that is exactly how I got that footage ....AD72 - 17-10-2011 at 09:12 PM
5 to 25 at one moment or through the day? That is some ARC weather. How grippy were the tires on the tarmac?
I like the tunes too. Never heard of the band. Reminds me of Orange Goblin.AD72 - 17-10-2011 at 09:20 PM
Halfway to Gone toured with Clutch and their drummer was from Sixty Watt Shaman. Huh - I probably saw them in concert 10 years ago.snowspider - 18-10-2011 at 07:20 AM
Kober being a man of experience which is the prefered method of stopping at Floyd Bennet.
1- applying elbow pads to the concrete or
2- applying buggy and body to the barriers
When I was there I just went extreemly slow and avoided the whole issue.Kober - 18-10-2011 at 06:28 PM
AD 72 .... as you can see on video that day provided 0 wind stability ..... one moment you are overpowered .... right after that kite is going
down ...... then ...... silence .... no wind at all ..... Jaymz decided to lunch 14m ....... few minutes later stormy wind lift and drop
him in bushes ........ rain start pouring and minute later everything was wet.... Jaymz have 2 kites soak with water ...... drying them for few
next days ....
snowspider..... Jaymz use method 1 ..... elbow pads last only for 5' of slide ,,,Jaymz - 18-10-2011 at 09:12 PM
That FBF tarmac is the roughest I've ever seen. I've fallen roadracing motorcycles at 60-70mph and faired better then the small slide there.
That gust really scared the cr@p out of me. Btw, had the 11m Gin up. Was nicely powered then a crazy gust came from nowhere and it just kept blowing.
Started going faster then I wanted and tried to steer upwind to loose speed and got ripped right outta there. Moonwalked with kite overhead as fast as
I could to Kober to assist in landing and then it started pouring.
Cheezy missed all the fun AD72 - 18-10-2011 at 09:41 PM

Nothing would have worked then not even an ARC. that is frustration. That is like trying to kite in one of the parks in the middle of town here.
There is way too much turbulence from trees and houses.MikeDobbs - 22-10-2011 at 05:12 PM
Hey Kober- cool vid. Esp. love the time-lapse in the beginning.
