Well it's just a couple more days of work and then off to NJ for 3 days of kites, beer, and fun. First time away without my kids. (10yrs)
I have a harness with a hook only that I run a stromp through. Is there going to be someone there to show me the correct way to set up a pulley and
some type of safety system. Can I purchase these items from someone there or a retail store close by? Starting to not sleep so well thinking about
this event!!

Yes we can show you the correct way to get "hooked in" put my number in your cell, give me a call when you get there. As far as buying the right stuff
there, eh not sure if there is anyone going to bring an extra one, but if there is a sailing store close by or on your way there I can tell you what
to get so you will be set up right.
Right here is a pic of the pulley and block along with the wichard safety release

Thanks Rich! This is why i posted this now. I can go to a couple boat stores here and look. If there isn't any available i will just see what others
are using and buy when I get home. I guess 2 years of running my flawed system will be ok for a couple more days down there. I put your phone number
in. thanks again and see you soon.

I just did a search and there are a bunch of marine dealers within a 5 mile radious. If we get rain on Wednesday I'll scout around for you. All we
need is a quick release witchard (sp) yes? U2U'd my number as well and when are you coming in Wednesday?

I will be arriving on Thursday. Staying over at my Dad's in Toms River Wednesday night. Leaving early in the morning, it's about an hour and a half
drive down. I don't mind picking one up if there are that many marine dealers. I see there are many to choose from under that name and I want to get
the proper one (still need help).
Thanks again

Do not get the pull pin type wichard snap shackle. It will not release under load. what you want is a torsionrelease snap shackle,it uses a cord to
pull down a release. It is about 80 bucks if you can find one.

The image I posted, is the torsion one Donnie is talking about.
