Hey Rip...I'm interested in the 7.8m (Black / Red) Vapor.
Can anyone tell me the difference between the Chikara and Chikara Pro fabric?
Also, what condition is the kite in...hopefully it didn't take too much of a beating at NABX (that ground scares me)?BeamerBob - 19-10-2011 at 12:50 PM
With an experienced flier, kites don't take much abuse on the lakebed. If the flier is prone to slamming their kites down a lot and scraping them
along, then the fabric can suffer. Also, experienced fliers don't leave their kites on the ground so they flap and slide around. If you just launch,
fly and land and stow your kite it will only get dusty and not suffer any more than flying on a beach.
Some people really worry about the dust getting on the kites. Most of it just rinses off and the rest can be wiped off with a diluted white vinegar
solution. The vinegar has a slight acidity that breaks loose the alkaline dust from the kite fabric. I've done this to 2 kites and they look like
new after the rinse/vinegar wipe/rinse treatment.airin - 19-10-2011 at 03:30 PM

sorry I'm trying to answer all the emails and u2u. bare with me.
i just want to say this, its not intended to bump the post.
all i can say is that kiters are family no matter what brand you fly, what race you are, male or female. kiters never judge or ask who, what, where,
why.
i sent out one post, asking for help and support ... and it brings tears to me that kiters are stepping up to help. Im truly happy to call you all
great supportive friends from around the world.
from the top to bottom of my heart, I thank you. I will never forget this.martinipro - 31-10-2011 at 02:18 PM
