Signs you might be a power kiter...

Drewculous - 20-10-2011 at 04:24 PM

Yep

I do all of those

AD72 - 20-10-2011 at 04:52 PM

You notice the wind blowing in the background of a TV show or movie and loose the plot and think about kiting.

MikeDobbs - 20-10-2011 at 05:36 PM

Oh man you got me.

For the last several weeks I've been driving around with a buggy, a landboard, 3 small fixed bridle foils and a 7m depower foil in my trunk. I check the forum and the weather constantly, and daydream about my last session day in and out.

I'm a powerkiter!

Kamikuza - 20-10-2011 at 05:38 PM

You see beaches on TV and wonder if there's enough space to launch :o

lamrith - 20-10-2011 at 05:56 PM

Add some of your own guys...

Kamikuza - 20-10-2011 at 05:58 PM

You see guys kiting in the background of TV shows and wonder if you know them and if they had a good session

BeamerBob - 20-10-2011 at 06:04 PM

You spot that kite in the background and then rewind and pause so you can figure out what kind of kite it was, wonder if you know them and if they had a good session. :duh::bouncy:

...every time now when at friends house I try to show YouTube video they ask me ...... Is it about kiting ????......

lamrith - 31-10-2011 at 08:18 PM

You have more kites than months you have been flying.. :o:bouncing:

Seanny - 31-10-2011 at 08:21 PM

Get distracted while driving to analyze the fields on either side of you to determine their kiteability. Check for power lines, gauge wind direction, incline, fences, natural obstacles, grass height, check for livestock & angry farmers...

If your daily driver looks like this..... You are either "Kiteman" and it's the "kitemobile" or you are in need of an intervention!

Hahahahaaaa all of the above! :wee:

shehatesmyhobbies - 1-11-2011 at 11:25 AM

I will start with... when your pkf name is shehatesmyhobbies .
I also do all of the above plus skim pkf about 20 times a day.

Also when your wife says I think its about time you get an enclosed trailer to keep all your wind toys in and get them out of the dining room.

I watch flags, trees, my local wind forecast, the tide charts for WW as well as call my kite buddies three or four times a day. My daughter calls them my kite girlfriends. I eat sleep and drink over kite stories all day long.

I am a powerkiter and I love it!

RedSky - 1-11-2011 at 11:50 AM

I'm with Seanny,

I found myself driving along the motorway today, driving down through a sweeping broad valley with beautiful views in every direction, blue skies, trees turning colour, birds migrating south for winter and the odd deep blue lake. And I'm thinking to myself, if I owned it all I'd flatten it and sand it over.

I'm thinking the ultimate buggy theme park. People come from miles around and pay to get in.

My mind wanders when I drive. :D

Not mine Mike.... Mine is bigger!:lol::lol: That would be our dear Brother Todd's ride.

Tibi - 2-11-2011 at 04:50 AM

I can't take my daughters to the park without being accused that I have ulterior motives for going to the park:
-"You took the kites with you, didn't you?"
-"No, I left them home today... there's no wind!"

silvereaglekiter - 2-11-2011 at 05:17 AM

--- when you mull over how many runs you can get in before Federal Penitentiary guards swop in & arrest you for trespassing on a federal (nicely trimmed) lawn

PS. good to see todd made it home

csa_deadon - 3-11-2011 at 12:06 AM

Use the unoccupied rooms at work to hang/dry/dump sand, stretch new lines down the halls.

Did I mention I work in a hospital?
