WOOOT!! I was just getting ready to buy a new (now old version) HD Motorsports Hero (1080) that I found a deal on..

Maybe I need to just hang tight and snap up the used rigs all you movie folks are going to sell for the new version!!:bigok:

BeamerBob - 24-10-2011 at 09:32 AM

That just evaporated the deal I got at REI. I guess the second 960 won't be as expensive now.

lamrith - 24-10-2011 at 11:18 AM

Yeah I hear yah Bob,
I was about to pull trigger on a new HD motorsports 1080 package for <$230, not not sure if should wait and snap up a used one cheap?...:dunno:

:wow: You'll be seeing my GoPro's go up for sale soon :wow:
Def watch the 1080 version, that low light issue looks to be resolved.

arkay - 24-10-2011 at 02:37 PM

so there's a wifi remote... and fov adjustment... I like the fov... but the rest seems not that exciting. Now if they did >60fps on 720/1080 then we're talking :)

Thats a sick video...

Nobody, but nobody beats GoPro's demo videos. That is some of the most spectacular footage I've ever seen, bar none.

Yeah.....'be pretty darn hard to top that. Something to aspire to and learn from. I'll be watching that a few times taking note of the timing of edits, fades/cuts, soundtrack etc. Not to mention the obligatory good looking babes....

Probably watch it a few more times just to sit back and go Wow!

Do the old plug-ins like LCD work on it?
... do I sell my camera or keep it?

Kamikuza - 24-10-2011 at 05:27 PM

... hows the fogging?
Blasting with the car's a/c is working well for me :)

Hmm ... was hoping to see the different FOVs in the video ... let down.

Kober - 26-10-2011 at 09:53 AM

grrrrr..........
........I just got 2 last month .......
... video is in my favorite collection now ...... just perfect ....

csa_deadon - 26-10-2011 at 11:56 AM

GoPro web site states that the Battery Bacpac, and the LCD Bacpac will work with the HD2.

The 3d system will require a future firmware update will be required for all HD2 cameras for compatibility with the 3D HERO system

Fun video. Makes me want to go out, get one, and do something amazing...

Too bad I cannot afford it, nor do I really do anything amazing enough to be worth capturing, nor do I have the skills to edit the videos into anything that would be worth watching in the first place... lol

I'll leave that to our resident pros. ;)
