To make a better recommendation can you share the following:
your weight
do you fly at the beach or inland
interested in depower or fixed bridles
budget
prefer jumping or just cruising around

why not a Twister IIR 7.7m

KsKiteAddict - 24-10-2011 at 07:58 PM

If you do happen to be interested in a Twister 7.7m, Dino at Dakitez has a "used once" Twister IIR 7.7m for $389 and Kent at A Wind of Change has the previous model Twister II 7.7m for $380. Both are excellent sellers to deal with. I own a Twister II 7.7m... it is a fun and powerful kite. It can definitely get you some of that air time you seek.

Give Dino a call at Dakitez. He is right down the road from you.

lucky_13 - 8-11-2011 at 09:02 PM

if i was to go with a bigger twister that would be to much lift for a buggy wouldnt it ?... i cant help myself i want a landboard and buggy  i think ive caught the kite sickness ... yhanks for the advice

BigMikesKites - 9-11-2011 at 03:33 AM

While the Twister will work for a buggy, it isn't an ideal buggy kite. It is designed for Jumping and lift. Much better for your landboard. I utiliize a Peter Lynn Core 6.7 and a Reactor II 6.9 for lighter wind buggying. I don't board, but locals here utilize the same Core for boarding. Its a decent all around kite that doesn't excel at either sport, but does pretty good at both.

I am also considering a depowered for buggying and certainly interested in a "used once" or very little. I have not "bought" a kite in many years..... Which kite has the best overall wind range? I am 200lbs, will buggy in Sand and grass, and looking for a kite with the largest wind range. 5-? Thanks. Dodd

Bladerunner - 9-11-2011 at 07:47 AM

While that 7m Pulse on sale here will not perform in 5mph wind it does have about the largest range of any of my kites.

It may not end up your low wind kite but it will serve up well at both ends. + is a very well behaved kite for learning. One kite that like both buggy and board !

At only $300 it's a steal !
