Just curious if any of you have tried a Twister 5.6 or similar with snowboard or skates? If so, how well does that combo work?ripsessionkites - 29-10-2011 at 02:47 AM
dunno your wind conditions but if you're on ice or hard packed the 5.6m is fine assuming you have wind
for me i don't use anything smaller than 11m FB or a 15m DP. i use a snowboard.
also you have to consider wind conditions + snow terrain (powder vs say a freeze lake vs rolling hills)pongnut - 29-10-2011 at 07:51 AM
Understood. Will probably just have to take it out and give it a go when wind opportunities present themselves. Still, would be cool to hear some
other folk describe their experience with Twisters in the winter...indigo_wolf - 29-10-2011 at 08:06 AM
It's the 7.7 (Twister Gen I) rather than the 5.6 and skis rather than board. However, the wind is listed as low (2-9 knots). In either case.....

Worth giving it a try in 15 or so for sure. If it works you'll have a blast! On a board, you will probably want to hook in to a harness, though.kiteboyza - 29-10-2011 at 08:28 AM
any kite will work on snow, long as you have wind. I did find that my fixed bridle kites would fill up with snow when you fly them during a flurrylamrith - 29-10-2011 at 09:10 AM
