BEAMERBOB for President - NAPKA nominations are due

I don't know how many got the email.... but NAPKA nominations are due.....

I am going to step forward and nominate my very good friend beamerbob for President.

I really think Bobby has the dedication to the sport to really be able to inject excitement into the NAPKA membership and lead NAPKA sponsored events into and through 2012.

I think I'd be better suited in a more supportive roll first as maybe an area committee rep if mine doesn't have someone else willing to take the roll. I honestly still consider myself "new" at this and frequently find myself looking up at many many others that have been at this twice as long as me or longer. Maybe someone with more historical knowledge of the sport and people in it?

I can't think of anyone better for the job. He's one of the most enthusiastic and driven guys I know. He'd definitely make progress for the sport.

I unlike Chris do not know Bobby up-close and personal. But I will support him as I follow him here and on the dreaded facebooks as well. And I find the information he offers to be from knowage and experiance in this subject. And if this is not what makes a good leader then we need to think more like our federal government and just find the richest kid to do it.

The only way I would accept a nomination for president is if Ricky wishes to not do it another year and no one else has been secretly desiring the job and wants it. I don't want the fame and fortune :rolleyes: nor really the duties that would be part of the job, and most of all the responsibility I would place on myself to make it a better organization. I would only do this if no one better is up for it.

With much consideration, I've decided I'd really rather not have the responsibilities of being president of NAPKA right now. I appreciate the public approval, but I understand g00fball is getting quite a bit of chatter behind the scenes.

My reluctance is due to having moved my family twice in less than 2 years. I want to be able to concentrate my efforts on them right now since I'm just coming out from under the cloud of all the things required when a family moves out of town and buys and sells a home. It has pretty much consumed me for the last 9 months so I'm ready for some funtimes. Thanks for those that have backed and encouraged this effort that g00fba11 has put forth.

Exactly. I've started twice to send it in but I don't know which of the current officers would like to continue and who else is up for the task at hand. I don't know where to start. I could just put names down of people I know but who knows if they want the job and which one would they be best suited for?

If NAPKA is going to continue, a good president is the start. Good district reps that want to get things going is second! I would like to see this thing really take off on the east coast and do some good for the events over here!

First off I think we need those interested in taking on these responsibilities to speak up..... let us know what capacity you are interested in and why.....

I think we need the existing officers to speak up and let us know who wants to run again and in what capacity.......

I still think beamerbob should take the presidential nomination...... after all it was email into NAPKA HQ and I thinkit got an email second.....

I hope to see all the NAPKA members sound off hear soon and put their 2 cents in.....

If the SE (my area) is open I would be happy to volunteer........................I enjoy the buggy very much with better than avg skillz. My passion for kiting has only increased over the last year and will continue to share land and water disciplines with those just starting out or wanting to learn. I also look forward to supporting the WWBB event next spring, and as always JIBE. Although I post alot in the H20 threads, Im not just a water guy!
