Hey Rob it is 12mm but don't know rest. What I know is that when I got my new flexi I installed special bolts that are much better than stainlessteal.I got them from mos.com from Rod,he was very big help for me and even sugest to install better bolts so I don't have problems like You do.I think they cost like $4.
Cheers

I get my 12mm stainless bolt from Napa Auto Parts. All the foreign car engines are held together with em.

If you are looking for high tensile strength, then stainless is not the way to go .
I buy my bolts from the local Caterpillar dealer here. I'm sure there must be one near you being an American company.
They typically sell inch fasteners but also have metric sizes. If you have the length of the bolt (do not include head) I can even give you the part number.

These bolts are grade 10.9 and are definitely the best quality that we can find in our part of the world.

However, on the whole I don't like 12 mm axle bolts & now build all my buggies with 20 mm rear axle bolts.

Hey I'm all for 20mm bolts, (just as soon as I find someone thats willing to do all that welding on my flexi's for free!!):wink2:

you you get a bolt from anyone that carries flexifoil. They are around $5.00

Flexfoil is out of them right now or I would have had em

More info on the bolts.

They 12mm 1.75 thread and 4" (10cm) long partially threaded.

Have been using a Flexi buggy for some hardcore freestyling for 3 years now. The original 8.8 strength bolts I found bent too easily so I have replaced the with Hex head 12.9 strength bolts and never had a problem. Have a look around for them they are definatly worth having and a small percentage of having it all converted to 20mm.

Hey, where did you find those bolts? I'd love to get my hands on some..

Hey Scoopy do You still have flexifoil parts in stock?I would need front fork bushing (four sets)

Scoopy - 14-6-2006 at 03:55 AM

I dont, but could probably throw them on my next flexi order if you dont mind waiting (and if flexi has any, they have been out of some parts AND BUGGYS for a while)

I picked up some from my local Orchard Supply Hardware a while back - can't remember what I payed but it was only a couple of bucks for a handful.
