kitedelight - 19-11-2011 at 09:44 PM

so,
video is not new at all, but couldn't find any posts on it - so here it is.

i am a bit speechless to be honest. Quite the product...thought it was a spoof at first. Wouldn't want to fall on land with this thing!

Those whirlybird 360s were pretty impressive I must say. I wouldn't want all that hardware wrapped around me though.

I agree fully. But That was cool. The tricks list would become infinitely longer. Depending on the height of the jump and the speed of the rotation. Eric Eck could have done one really big trick. Like a 36000 spin or something. :wee::wee: :megan: what no dizzy smiley oh come on.

The Dynabar has a better benefit to drawback ratio.

Har! I remember that ... remember thinking it was a horrid idea then too

Dynabar is up to v7 now I think and IIRC they do their own harness. I was going to give it a shot but ... I'm scared I'll break it :D

interesting invention but might make it a bit harder to keep track of the location of the quick release... can imagine getting dragged by the butt, reaching for the QR and getting my fingers caught in the sliding mechanism :shocked2:

dynabar seems safer

I have a dynabar V3. Works well for riding toeside.

PHREERIDER - 20-11-2011 at 05:54 PM

first time i saw this rig...loss of a finger was all i could think about or it getting bent and jammed. could not do it.

"The Dynabar has a better benefit to drawback ratio"
my thoughts pretty much, although his toeside 'superman' position is pretty darn impressive, chest almost touching the water in one of the videos. :)
